Anytime you have two big sluggers who swung for the fences anything can happen. That said, I would heavily favor Foreman. Earnie didn’t have the most reliable chin and foreman unlike Shavers could fight better with both hands. As I said before anything can happen but the odds point in George’s direction.
Foreman in the 70s and Foreman in the 90s could beat Shavers. 70s Shavers/90s Foreman would be a long slugfest, 70s Shavers/70s Foreman would be a short-medium length slugfest.
Prime George Foreman, 1973, would be too much for a prime Earnie Shavers, remember Jerry Quarry kayoed Earnie in round 1 in 1973. He almost collapsed in round 15 against Muhammad Ali, on Sept 29 1977. George, I believe would be quicker, he would tag Shavers early, staying on him like he did to King Roman and Ken Norton. George does not let you breathe, he would smother Shavers with his whirlwind blows, Foreman by KO 2. George is the faster draw in this battle.
Foreman is the pick but Shavers could surprise and Foreman wasn't in there to box which gives Shavers his chance. I feel Shavers is under rated these days. Forget his power for a moment, he had fast hands, long arms for his height ( 79" reach ), and was murder to the body. Want more? He had pretty fast hands as well. Shavers really wasn't managed well. He fought may punchers, or boxers with top chins that were hard to catch cleanly. Suppose he fought Foreman opponents? He already destroyed Norton, Ko'd Jimmy Young, and IMO could very well KO Frazier too. As it stands Shavers gave Ali a much tougher fight than Foreman did.
Every version of george would ko prime shavers and when i say every version yes the 97 version included
Well, I wouldn't go that far. I see 1997 Foreman winning a clear decision I agree that Foreman would dominate Shavers though. No reason to pick Earnie here.
Lol. How are you mate? I am desperate with all thiS **** in my house all the ****ing day haha. My only excuse for a Walk are my 2 loves. My pitbull Foreman and my american sttafordshire laila lol. I hope you are fine
Staying in the house is so boring and starting to make me depressed. I love my family but their's only so much of them I can take!
Exactly. It is a serious thing , anxiety and depression are no joke. I live alone with my dogs so imagine.. people who live alone need to have mental strength in cases like this. But be positive all will be alright
