You apparently can't read, because my source claimed 9 miles, which I said, 9 miles.

15 miles was said by his press handler, his name slips me at the moment, I'll get back to you with the name

Calm down, it was an honest mistake. I couldn't find the 9 mile claim either though.

Well if his press handler said it then it must be true. Why didn't you say so earlier?!

What are the best sources you have on this? And does it specify whether he actually ran 16 miles as opposed to walking or jogging at a leisurely pace? I'm sincerely curious because I can't find any credible sources on his training mileage other than the ones that Seamus and I have posted in previous threads.

Why do you doubt it so vehemently when it's such a well known fact? You are actively engaging in revisionism because you don't want to believe his press agent, but you will believe... Agents of the press

    Lmao

Edit: reread if you have to, the 9 miles is in there.

    There's a big difference between a well-known fact and an oft-repeated story.

You don't know why someone would find a journalist more credible than a PR person? Ok...

I would imagine that any fighter who did sixteen miles of road work in a day, would do it at a leisurely pace.

Even elite marathon runners, will normally only do that sort of distance at a sedate pace, while they will do faster runs of six miles or less.

He would probably have been doing it at about 5-6 mph, or less if it was hilly terrain.

I would imagine that too. Do you happen to know of any reliable sources that might shed any light on any of this, by any chance?

Maybe because you post unsupported claims and present them as facts?
Marciano was rated in the top 2 all time Ali , Frazier, and Foreman said he was,Ali said Marciano would beat him.
It's all BOLLOCKS. Fan Boyism .

The claims were made by his press agent Ben Bentley, and his uncle Charlie Piccento.

It is perhaps a bit harsh to dismiss their testimony out of hand.

Ben Bentley said that after he signed for a fight he would increase his mileage to 9-10, peaking at 12-15 before the fight, and that he trained in hilly country.

this doesn't strike me as being a particularly implausible claim.

And rather gullible to accept them at face value?
