What would have happened, if past prime Tyson from 2004 who lost do D. Williams would have fought a close to prime Byrd? Tyson was very much done back then, but he had his moments against Williams. Byrd had no power but was very slippery.
Byrd would have beaten him easily. 2001 in shape version of Tua was much more dangerous opponent than shot Tyson and Byrd still beat him
Tyson moved as if he was pulling an enormous ball and chain by 2004. I doubt he'd have been able to get anywhere near Byrd. Could see Tyson quitting on his stool or being pulled out after eight or nine rounds even if he hasn't taken all that much punishment, simply through fatigue and demoralization.
Byrd would have won ...and gotten absolutely no credit for it ...he’d have been better off fighting Danny Williams
dq fight written all over it. Tyson will not react well to huffing and puffing by the 4th round and never connecting on the guy. And then getting hit with almost everything Byrd throws. Just a matter of time before Tyson does his elbow twisting or something to get disqualified---kind of like the Duran no mas fight but Tyson will try to take any sort of physical harm he can cuase instead. different way out of the fight after getting dominated. I wanted to see Mike in there with live opponents instead of the drek we were fed.
peak Tyson all wrong for byrd, but old Tyson I think byrd would frustrate and counter Tyson and win. But if mike connects, could be trouble
Have to be the only to take Tyson in this one... Yes boxers frustrated Tyson but not feather fisted ones. Douglas and Holyfield still had enough power to get Tyson's respect, the feather fist Byrd would not. Tyson would probably flatten him easily
Bryd wins by stopping Tyson in 5. We'd see an overly aggressive Bryd attack Tyson, he stops a washed up Mike in five easy rounds.
Huh, are you putting 1990 and 1996 version of Tyson on the same level as 2004 one? It's like saying Ali was in his prime when he fought Larry Holmes
