Banks and Golovkin turned down a third Canelo fight this year

Should have done so after 1st fight, but he sold his title.

 

I kinda wanted to see a 3rd GGG match, but what this shows is that Canelo and his team were trying to make the fight but GGG and his team refused. GGG was interviewed last year and when asked about a 3rd fight with Canelo did not seem interested. This shows that despite rumors to the contrary, it's GGG and his team who refuses to make the 3rd fight with Canelo. Banks confirms that so now we know who is the one ducking a 3rd fight : GGG.

As far as Canelo fighting someone his own age, maybe you should look at the behavior of some of the fighters out there his own age that could fight him. Caleb Plant was asked after his last fight if he would fight Canelo and he made it clear that he wasn't ready he needed time off or whatever. Canelo's team was trying to make the fight with Billy Joe Saunders. What happens is guys Canelo's age get offered a fight then proceed to **** their pants at the thought of fighting him and run away.

I agree I would like to see Canelo fight some guys his age, like Billy Joe Saunders, like Caleb Plant or other guys his age. I think Dmitry Bivol would be a great fight for Canelo. Maybe Bivol won't run away scared when asked about a Canelo fight like BJS or Plant.

 

No chance but he is the most talented and would give Beterbiev some problems before he got his face punched in.

Just a few months ago Canelo didn't want to fight Golovkin, I guess he was ducking. He was the big bad ducker then.Now covid 19 strikes and situations change and people got to make the best decisions considering the situation and now GGG is afraid. Please Golovkin will never be afraid of Canelo. The scariest thing to Golovkin about Canelo is the Crooked judges.

Well if you go by that logic only then GGG kicked the crap out of Derevyanchenko. The face only tells part of the story. It does have some relevance.
