I'd conditionally say Jones would be the best he could beat if - if - Rocky could beat a 190 pound version of him.
Whats the matter? In 1945, Walcott made < 190lb four times. Including a layoff, five years after the Simon-debacle. Was he lightyears away from 47?
The James Toney who fought Vassiliy Jirov was a sublime masterful performance. And the JT of this night a handful for any boxer under 190 lbs.
I actually dont know. Not many. I do think if we could get a Michael spinks weighing 189 he could possibly beat him but its tough
Laying on the ropes, shoulder rolling against a Jirov is rather different to doing it against Marciano. Toney essayed a great performance ,but against Marciano, I think he would eventually get steam rollered doing that.

Spinks had 5 fights at heavyweight Holmes 1 200lbs Holmes 2 205lbs Tangstaad 201lbs Cooney 209lbs Tyson 212lbs I appreciate posters are bored with their present enforced incarceration, but some responses to threads, designed to hopefully alleviate that boredom, are so pedantic ,so asinine as to discourage posters from making threads at all.
There`s no way Roy could have taken Marciano`s power, he was never hit with tyhat kind of power, Ruiz didn`t hit him with anything hard and Marciano would have thrown far more shots than Ruiz did.
