Anyone see the fights on Showtime extreme last night?

    Two great fights featuring my good friend in Ft Worth Texas Paulie Ayala - Johnny Tapia
    Both great close fights between two great fighters Fight 1 being made Fight of the Year 1999
    I had the pleasure of being with them during the pro mo's for fight 1. Both were great guys & got on like they'd been friends for years in fact someone said Its hard to believe that on fight night they'll be trying to beat the heck out of each other. But thats exactly what they did. Paulie won the WBA title that night was happy for him & also saw that Johnny was right in there with him making it a very close fight. The same thing with the rematch another great fight razor close decision as Paulie successfully defended his WBA title. Two great guys Two great fighters R.I.P Johnny Tapia a great champion one of the greatest who was taken far two soon

    Na i was to busy watching a replay of margarito get pummeled by Shane

    And watching Floyd all night



    Did Showtime show any floyd fights???

    I didn't, but I watched the first one no less than a week ago, and thought it was awesome. Can't go wrong with a bit of Tapia. Beautifully skilled toughman who was dealt some of the worst cards a man in life could hold. Tragic life.

    Typical BS from a no nothing troll. No Showtime only show great fights featuring great fighters Mayweather wouldn't feature in either catogory.

    LOL No like I said doing the rounds of pro mos of them they were more like two long time friends. They were really great guys both of them they tried to get them to act mad at each other but they always ended up laughing. Paulie said he was most suprised when Johnny shoved him when they were being introduced. They respected each other of course being fighters they both thought they'd won the fights. Johnny had a hard life but still reached the top R.I.P. Ma Vida Loco

    And I was 100 % serious when I said that. As has been proven so many times Tony was indeed railroaded & was 100% innocent . While that can hardly be claimed by the likes of Mayweather, Mosely or Canelo can it ?
