I'd agree with that, Pernell may rise as the years go by in appreciation.

Ivan Calderon for sure. ATG 105. Severely outgunned in every fight, seldom lost rounds. His little 108 run was kinda nuts, too.

You make that sound like a bad thing. Calderon was very skilled.

Niccolini Locche is the man you are looking for.

The guy used to take smoke breaks between rounds.

    How's that for ring IQ.
The guy barely moved and still only the very best could land on him.

I haven’t seen much but perhaps, Gene Tunney. Hopkins is an obvious one. Andre Ward perhaps. Salvador Sanchez, Carlos Monzon, Morales & Barrera?, and George Benton.
Also want to share this clip (timed) of Hurricane Carter trying to take Bentons head off.

    Good clip!
Need to watch more of Benton.

Sanchez and Monzon always seemed like incredible athletes to me.

I mean Monzons freakish reach, that alone excludes him from this list IMO.

Regarding Monzon, that’s like saying Margarito was an incredible athlete. Sanchez wasn’t what anyone would call fast, powerful or particularly agile. He was just a damn good and intelligent young fighter. Azumah Nelson was athletic.

Lol, cmon, I wasn’t talking to you. I doubt you even know who Monzon and Salvador Sanchez are, let alone watched them. But plz, elaborate. Should be good.

Of course I know who they are. I've seen plenty of both, have ranked them in P4P, MW/FW and evaluated them H2H. I'm literally on a ****ing podcast talking about how good Carlos Monzon is. Your 'doubts' are wrong and laughable.
I'd say the same to you, but it's easier to not. It's one of them ones where you lose brain cells from what you take in.

Monzón in the final 5&6th rounds vs Napoles and his destruction of Nino showed that he was fast, coordinated and explosive. Much much much more than Margarito ever did. To compare their athleticsm is so poor, it's funny. Monzón wasn't even an athletically based fighter, but he had good athleticsm. It's literally there on film, I don't know what else to say.

Watch a single round of Sánchez/Little Red and you'll see amazing speed in his feet and crazy agility.

Watch this and tell me that man isn't fast or agile.

You’re a liar and should stop fooling the people who listen to your podcast. You should actually watch the videos you posted and their fights. Watch Carter, Jones, Russell, Khan, etc for speed, and Mayweather, Pep, Whitaker, Pacquiao for agility. Monzon and Sanchez are fairly mediocre speed, power, athleticism, with great IQ’s. If you want some slow, no power, no athleticism, no physical advantage fighter but is somehow an ATG, he doesn’t exist. Probably.

Is he more athletic than Monzon? No, but I also doubt you’ve followed Margarito’s career.
