I think a lot of people on here massively overrate Fury, but I think you are underrating him.
He's most definitely not a poor mans Ali, and I don't think the comparison is as appropriate as some people do.
There are some similarities defensively, but the footwork is vastly different, Fury is much more planted, and uses clinchwork more strategically.
When have you ever seen Ali throw a 1-2 to duck into a clinch?
Offensively they are chalk and cheese, I genuinely see little to no similarities in how they attack.

If I had to bet money, I'd have Fury beating Marciano and Dempsey, losing to Frazier, and I think it could go either way with Foreman.

Holmes and Ali would both outclass him I would think, but you never know in boxing.

I don't think this forum is your niche kid,
    maybe try Reddit or something.

The guys got insight that is just too deep for this spot of the internet.

My 14 year old Justin Bieber fanboy brain can't handle it.

I was actually talking about fighters passing up opportunities to throw body shots when their opponents were open to them. But yes, I agree with what you’ve said. Good point.

I’m a big fan of Dillian’s. I think that was a mistake. I can only imagine that he regrets that decision.

Respect should be given to "All" fighters not just the best of every era...

Ok grandpa. Have a good time talking about some old ass fighters and marvel in those old days while american boxing is becoming more and more insignificant.
    You just old.

For as long as there has been boxing, old time trainers have been dying out - and been replaced by new ones. Why are these new trainers automatically worse and unable to teach young boxers the finer points of the game? Just because you're old and wrinkled and you name happens to be Ray Arcel, doesn't mean that you take irreplaceable knowledge with you, when you go.

They’re not worse, they just don’t have the same amount of knowledge.

Regarding size of boxers, fact is humans have become naturally taller and heavier. PEDs have no influence on height of boxers and compared to any other era the heavies today are giants.

If size is not a possible advantage then why are the present top of the pile Heavyweights both over 6'5 and 237 plus pounds in weight? No sub 200 pound fighters have threatened to take their Heavyweight straps.

Dempsey being called a giant killer is fun title, but out of only 6 title defences in a 7 yr reign as Heavyweight Champ, what giants did he defend against?

Two of Dempseys title challengers were at or below present lightheavyweight limit, one had a terminal kidney ailment, one whose opponent prior to facing Dempsey had not won a fight in his last 9 bouts, and one who was a decent size and should have been the World Heavyweight Champion, if the rules had been adhered to.

That is not disrespecting Dempsey, as he and his era are my favourite period of history in our sport to read about, hard men in hard times.

I will concede that size is indeed often put above skill, speed and such like in boxing debates, however Fury has decent speed, a good skill level, ability to take a punch and a lot of self belief to back up his undoubted physical advantages.

Debate is good, however until we develop a time machine we in all honesty will never definitively know who would win in comparing past and present fighters.

yeah of course boxing is that one magical sport, were all the sport evolutional stuff that applies to all other sports doesnt work. Boxing is a consistent ebb and flow and transcendences its self from all the other sports that other mere mortals do.
Only problem that none of you fat couch potatos ever stepped into the ring but think you now stuff from watching yt compliations.

So important old time knowledge has mysteriously been disappearing into thin air, since the new generation of trainers have taken over. Really?

Not that this idea is a new one. This is what people could read in 1883, in "The Art of Boxing" (page 9):
"The school of boxing is rapidly dying out, and when the professors of the present day have passed away it will be hard to say where the new ones are coming from"
