Buddy Baer could have been a top contender in any era. 70's, 80's, 90's you name 'em.

This. Max would beat the tar out of Moorer.

Moorer had the tools to decision Buddy, but if he mentally checks out like he did sometimes midfight Buddy would knock him senseless. I don’t see Moorer recovering if Buddy connects on him like he did Louis.

Galento was a slob. Please. Look at him on film and tell me with a straight face that he is anything more than a neanderthal. I would take Lionel Butler to annihilate Galento. Hell, I would take Butterbean to cream him.

It would be a knock against him if he did have a bad chin he doesn’t, Be realistic Max Baer was beaten by smaller, softer punching, less skilled fighters then Moore.

Blinding how obvious the winner is honestly, it’s a little silly how much stock is put into boxers like the Baers.

This. Buddy beat a lot of good fighters, but the only film that most people have seen of him are his two losses to Joe Louis, who specialized in cutting down big men.

He had the right skills and athleticism to beat both. His chin wasn’t the most reliable however and both those dudes could crack. I guess it depends on how soon he could finish them first or if the fight goes a while if he can stay out Of trouble. Moorer was cruising his way to an easy decision over Foreman but he got stupidly complacent.

Neanderthals weren't primitive, far from it in fact.

Have you seen more Schmeling fights? Or do you base all of your knowledge on one poor fight from him?

Do you have any "scientific" reasons to call Moorer more advanced human being?

He was beaten by smaller fighters.

He was beaten by softer punching fighters.

He was beaten by less skilled fighters.

I don't think that he was ever beaten by somebody who didn't have a better chin than Moorer however!

The people who beat Baer, reads like a whose who of the best chins of the era!

Instead of Seamus, you should be named "The Seamus".

I stand by my statement, regardless of how much film I see, that Galento was the equivalent of David Tua.
