Yeah theres a few I can think of I'd turn down.
If prime Mike Tyson asked me to spar I'd change my name and move country.

Still as a rule of thumb it would be a good learning experience.

Would you spar with a 6'9'' 270lb slick gypsy who is as light on his feet as a bantamweight ballerina and as nimble and agile as a caravan-dwelling mongoose? Sure why not. I wouldn't ever fight him though because I don't fight with my breed.

Now? No. 10-15 years ago, maybe if I was feeling strong that day.. Fury is so tall and mobile, he would be hard to reach, so essentially you'll be in there for defense, and maybe get a chance to throw and land up close. Maybe.

Fans really have no idea how hard these guys can hit. When I was boxing in a gym and for some local tough man fights, even what fans would call a bum heavyweight can hit hard. Fury isn't really a puncher, but if he wanted to, he would crush 99% of the posters here inside of 1 minute.

A safer way to judge a boxer's power is to hold the heavy bag, while he hits it. Just watch your thumbs. The power will go through the bag and into your body. For fun I used to jolt the welters clean off the bag, 2 feet back, but back to point try it out when heavy is hitting it. Just once, and image if that hit your head or body. Then you'l know.

Not competitively obviously but, if he was just mucking about & promised not to go too hard, definitely, it'd be a amazing experience, like swimming with sharks or something.

The fact that, if he tried his absolute best, he could stop me laying a glove on him no matter how long we fought for and/or KO me within a relatively small number of seconds, would be kind of the point rather than a reason not to do it.

I doubt it would be possible to even land a glove on him, he's too elusive and he would stick that long arm out and keep you away.

I’ve sparred novice heavyweights before and had my brain rattled enough by them. I’m happy to pass up on this opportunity

It would be hard enough if he wasn’t allowed to throw any punches and you just have to try and hit him

No, he is a top pro boxer and I'm 40 years old and last time I've been to a boxing gym maybe more then 7 years ago.

i'd want him to go at it.
just to feel the punches his opponents feel.

i wouldn't last half a round but its the memories and knowledge of how hard he hits would be nice.
and just to tell people i did lol

I've sparred well-known pro's and world champions. I've sparred and fought golden gloves champs who were fighting once a week as amateurs too, but couldn't make the grade as professionals. If you fit a certain profile, skill set, or athletic ability and contract out as a sparring partner, eventually you will get that call.

If they are taking the session seriously and not playing around, it will 100% be one of your worst experiences ever, if not the worst. When people talk about levels, they are referring to a collection of abilities in regards to understanding of positioning, awareness and ring IQ, vision for openings and awareness of what they are open to, situational awareness, and multiple chess moves in advance at all times and anticipation. All of those things and the speed they can process it, accurate judgement in range, and ability to employ their skills in all instances are all areas you grow and advance in as a fighter on a pretty level plane.

Some guys are incredibly gifted physically and athletically but will never have the mental acuity to advance any further than the basic level. When you are sub-novice and novice as an amateur, those levels mean everything whereas overall talent mean next to nothing. The further you advance in amateurs and closer you get to contender status as a pro, the closer those curves merge abd the more emphasis is on talent.

None of us are anywhere near any of these guys level, so it almost assuredly won't matter what talent or physical ability you might have. To most every fan Edwin Rodriguez is a flat-out brawler. But if anyone here gloved up and spurred him, he would box their ears, tits, balls, and ass off and he would look like FMJ or Sweet Pea doing it.

No one here is within shouting distance of Fury's level, nor is anyone near his size - ike not even close. Believe me, no one here would want to spar him if he was actually taking it serious and trying to work and improve. It woulf be a brutal experience.

tyson was always extremely cautious and kind with lower level partners. Paid well also.

Wlad genuinely wanted to hurt them and humiliate
