Canelo would tire Hagler out and go for the KO? What?

v hagler similar to GGG, tight rounds, fight 10 times 4 to hagler, 4 to canelo and 2 draws with 0 knockdowns

V I fancy canelo to stop Leonard. No hate plz

v Hearns 10 fights 5 to Hearns 4 canelo 1 draw

 

Canelo would lose to Hagler, Hearns, Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran. No disrespect to Canelo because right now he is arguably pound for pound number 1 but very few better than the aforementioned 4 in history.

 

Canelo would be the one getting tired against Hagler, who had much better stamina. From the mid rounds onward, Canelo would be eating jabs repeatedly.

No hate but you obviously don’t know how good and great these guys were.

Hagler would stop Canelo Mexican style or any style.

Sugar Ray would **** him up. Canelo’s durability would be a problem as he might take a sustained shellacking.

Hearns could either stop him the way he executed many or he could totally outbox and outclass him over 12 rounds.

I love Canelo but there have not been many better than these guys.

As for Duran please no this would be a suicidal mission for Canelo.

Monzon would defeat Canelo especially over 15 rounds. Style wise Canelo will win some rounds but the great Monzon would get to him.

 

I love hagler, he’s one of my favourites. All time. Canelo has a titanium chin, judges favour and excellent at stealing rounds. If they fought 10 times then nobody’s coming out undefeated

Leonard the master at stealing rounds, I dunno, I just feel canelo would clock him at middle. Both aren’t gonna be undefeated if they fought 10 times again

Hearns could absolutely box canelos head off and hits like a truck. Good reach. In 10 fights i think Hearns gets the better of canelo

 

Honestly I think sometimes people forget what a Killer SRL was in the ring. For the sake of full disclosure I don’t like SRL nor am I a fan of his. It pisses me off up to today that he was given the decision against Marvelous Marvin Hagler. As good as Canelo is SRL is better than him at every thing skills wise better left hook, faster, quicker, better footwork and ring generalship. Everything Floyd did to Canelo SRL would do but it would be worse as Leonard would be damaging him with more power. Even Sugar Ray Robinson and Charley Burley would have had an issue with Leonard. The few guys who were better than Leonard technically and that in itself is a tall order like Benitez and Hearns he would find a way to beat them. Leonard’s boxing brain was like a computer. I love Canelo and have seen him fight live close up but I will not lie SRL would stop him.

I don't think canelo has the stamina to fight at Leonard's pace. He would land good counters at times but Leonard's footwork keeps him out of danger and he outworks canelo with fast hands.

 

Canelo isnt a forum favourite, but his jaw is cast iron he ain’t getting stopped. But hey it’s the internet everyone has an opinion
