Haye didn’t engage with Valuev. He didn’t engage with Wlad. He wasn’t going to engage with Vitali either. Haye would have shown up to survive and go 12 rounds and then blame some small ‘injury’ for his stinker of a performance.
David Haye would have not made it the distance vs Vitali. Wlad is the better boxer of the two, but he was also content with letting Haye off the hook. Vitali would have kept the pressure on and stopped Haye.
I understand he has a momentum now and he looks indestructible to you, but just 1 fight ago he almost got KTFOed by a 45 ranked guy...
Quite easily? Haye’s biggest issue was his mindset. Look how cautious he was against Wlad and Valuev. He’d probably have been even more cautious against Vitali.
Well he definitely earnt everyone’s respect in the first fight. I never wanted to see the rematch, but he didn’t want to go out like that.
