How far off is Canelo from Manny and Floyd in the atg rankings?

Well those two are obviously the best of their generation making up the 1a and 1b and are usually ranked similarly. Everyone says they're once in a lifetime fighters, well what would Nelo have to do to be within the same stratosphere as them? Beating Beterbiev/Bivol at 175? Don't think 168 does much for his legacy but it'd be a start I guess, would liked to have seen him face Saunders. Lots of people have him pretty high in the atg mexican rankings so I guess that's a start.

More than a hundred places on my list. I expect it to narrow to about 40 or so tho.

He has a long way to go yet.

Also, I guess almost all resume's can be picked apart piece by piece, but Canelo's resume can be picked apart much more than most.

I don't even know yet .... Probably needs to clear out a division again or become unified at 175 ... Even then i think hes still a bit short of floyd and Pac .

Canelo still has time. But id say fight bivol beterbiev or fight at 168 and beat a prime undefeated champ who's young and hasnt been exposed ..then maybe just maybe he can crack with floyd and Pac in rankings

You right he hasnt cleared any yet. Just saying tho he needs to clear out a division to compete with pac and floyd resume wise ... And thats jusy to compete. He would still be a step below though

I think another thing is that Canelo hasn't firmly established himself as the best fighter of his generation yet. He's p4p number 1 atm, but that claim could still be easily challenged by Loma or Inoue depending on their next few wins. While Pac and Floyd at their peak were pretty firmly number 1 and 2. Pac was 1 when he was rising and Floyd had a mini retirement and Floyd moved up to 1 when Pac got kod, but they've ruled at the top of the p4p for long time.

sorry I was just getting confused there I was thinking if he cleared out a division where was I whilst that was happening :copas:

Yea I agree he’s need to clear out a division to enter the equation and I’d still rank Floyd and pac-man above him

I don't think that would do much. If he beat him decisively the first time without needing rematches then it would've shot him up a bit.
