Hill's speed and movement sees him last a few rounds but he gets mown down eventually. He's just too cautious with letting his shots go and doesn't have the arsenal to pull this off. Michalczewski eventually slowed him down and had him ragged near the end because Hill wasn't used to having to throw so many shots to keep a man off him. He tried throwing singles and jabs to stay at range, but he'd have needed more punches in threes, fours or fives to have a chance against Dariusz. Now imagine how much he'd need against Foster.

I don't think Hill lasts the distance in this one. Foster chops him down by around the ninth round.

Foster had a better jab than Hill and it was a really fast punch, Hearns out-jabbed Hill also because of his reach, Hill would have to get inside of Foster`s jab, but he did not know how to do that, it would be like the Hearns fight unless Foster landed a cruncher.

These two - in real time - actually didn't like one another. I believe it came down to Hill breaking Bob's record of title defenses. I don't know if they ever actually met but a lot of nasty stuff was said in interviews and I still recall one interview of Foster's where he ended with (when asked about Hill), "The kid's an a**hole!" I wish I knew more about the feud.

I think Hill wins some rounds here but ultimately gets stopped by Foster. Everyone always talks about Bob's power but he was a pretty good boxer as well. I see him stopping Hill.

The three guys who stopped Foster by the end of 1970 and two guys who won decisions over him didn't have a chance to go 15 rounds.

You act like Hill wouldn't be the best guy Foster beat.

No I don't. Read the post again. Or allow me to refresh. My point is close to prime Hill was outboxed by former welter Tommy Hearns. The same Tommy that was beaten by Iran Barkley at 175. Bob is probably the hardest puncher ever at 175. He also has one of the hardest jabs ever at 175. My point is that the guy who was outboxed by Barkley victim Hearns is getting blasted out by power punching Bob. Comprende?
