I rate him and think he's the real deal who can go all the way. In an extremely tough division however but can make for some very good dust ups down the line.

I agree completely. Such a tough division but I think he is the real deal. His style will see him in some great tear-ups.

I would love to see him v Callum Johnson and I think Buatsi wins mainly because he is the fresher of the two. Would be a war!!

I’ve been watching a lot of beterbievs fights while being off.

I noticed Johnson’s face was already red and angry looking by the end of the 1st round. The shot he drops beterbiev with is great but I just wish he’d jumped on him rather than let him recover as it could’ve been a huge upset.
I then watched the beterbiev vs Gvozdyk fight. At the time a lot of people picked the nail to beat beterbiev, me included. He has that style to beat someone with that wrecking ball style but I didn’t matter, Gvozdyk landed his best shots and beterbiev just walked through them, it’s hard to watch the last few rounds as you can clearly see Gvozdyk has had enough at least 2 rounds before it’s stopped

nobody right now will beat beterbiev imo

One thing about Callum Johnson is that he can ****ing crack.

The problem with him has been his inactivity and also going through the levels properly. He caught Beterbiev an absolute beauty and could've jumped on him but instead he froze. Had he been better prepared in terms of activity and bridging the gap in terms of levels in fights prior to Beterbiev, I think he would've jumped on him which could've led to a different outcome...…..

    All ifs and buts however.

Buatsi has looking average and struggled to put a couple of his last few opponents away and needed a few dodgy shots to do so
Exciting when fighting a bum but needs to find more ways to break a guy down as he looks genuinely lost at times when the opponent is a level up, at least defensively

Hope he makes it as he likes a toe to toe scrap and will give the fans value for money

    Agree with this.

Think the shine has come off a bit. Well matched and heavily hyped, but as he's started to move up he's no longer looking like the unstoppable force Eddie has been talking about.

However he's likeable and fun to watch so we just have to hope this is all part of developing and fulfilling his promise.

I think he is an exciting prospect and has a great chance. He is still improving, and still in fights where he is trying to impress at all times rather than box properly to win. I expect his defence to improve as it will need to moving up the levels. Worth noting that he seems to live the life and also have decent management - massive benefit speaks for itself.

At what age do you stop becoming a prospect?

Its hard to put an age on it to be fair
Boxing is a very political and circumstantial sport
I mean Joyce is 34?and due to the am3of pro fights he had had kind of still a prospect

    Hard one to answer

Age is irrelevant to me, as long as the fighter is not so old they cannot realise their full potential. Joshua Buatsi career is being managed in a very prospect like manor i.e. he's over matched and able to "look good" on tele. Mistakes can be made and learned from whereas at world level or even a tier below it could be lights out.

True but due to his age he most likely will near be a world class fighter wouldn't you agree?

So it's more to do with the level of fighters rather than his age?

I think we can both agree on that the lad needs to make a step up.

It's all to do with the management of the fighter from beginning of their career. You can tell in Buatsi's case his progress has been down to a careful plan to ensure he looks good, gets experience and doesn't lose.

I absolutely agree, desperately want him to step up. I do not enjoy watching un-competitive fights. Plenty of domestic talent to test himself against too so yes please Joshua Buatsi get on with it!
