I rewatched the first two rounds, need to rewatch the rest of it. Also rewatched Scott Harrison v Manuel Medina 2. Quality fight that.
Watching a lot of beterbiev at the moment beterbiev vs Gvozdyk is a classic case of fans believing a fighter had the right style to beat an avoided champion Gvozdyk has stopped stevenson before this
I thought the Nail would beat him, must be honest. It was a huge step up from anyone he'd fought professionally and Beterbiev had shown cracks previously and is just constantly injured.
so did I! Gvozdyk starts off great landing plenty with fast combos and lots of movement but it counts for nothing eventually. The longer the fights goes the more beterbiev lands and Gvozdyk ends up a broken man. 2 rounds before its stopped you could see he’d had enough but atlas keeps pushing him
I've watched loads over the last few weeks. Naz v Kelley, Ingle, Robinson, Barrera Barrera v McKinney, Tapia, Morales(all 3) Lewis v Bruno, Tyson, Holyfield (both), Vitali, Grant, Botha, Rahman(both) Hatton v Malignaggi, Collazo, peacock, Denton, Tsyzu, Thaxton And loads more, I started typing them out and then gave up, I now realise though why my wife keeps saying I should pay her more attention and watch less boxing.
I rewatched Naz v Barrera. The way it is spoken about generally is like it was a complete schooling or something, but it wasn't like Barrera won every round, I still had Naz winning 4 or even 5 rounds of that fight.
Watched Honeyghan Starling yesterday, with Mike Tyson doing some of the commentary rooting for Lloyd!!
Yeah, I can't remember what I thought of the fight at the time but it definitely wasn't the one sided beatdown that my memory was telling me it was.
Ive watched davey moore and matthew hiltons fights...I've watched benitez"s mw era...caught up on tony sibson fights...michael dokes...
I watched Douglas vs Tyson all the way through for the first time. I didn’t realise how decent Douglas was and how easy he was winning when he knocked him out. I didn’t even know Douglas was dropped in that fight. Would he have been stopped had the bell not rang? That ko was brilliant, I can only imagine how exciting it must have been to watch it live. I’d always assumed Douglas was a no hoper the way people talk about it as the biggest sporting shock ever. I didn’t think he’d have been a former world title challenger. I need to brush up on my 20th century world boxing knowledge.
I remember it still today clear as crystal, stayed up all night to watch it with my brother complaining because i wouldnt let him have a beer until about an hour before the ring walks!! I like to remember what happened!!
Just watched Matthew Hall bashing up Kerry Hope. Hall was a beast when he was undefeated and coming up, really exciting to watch. He got stabbed on two occasions though, and was never the same after that. Shame, as he looked like he go far. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
