Tua. Look at Parker v Ruiz and Parker v Whyte, even to an extent Parker v Takam. None of these guys could possibly be called slick but they all got to Parker on a number of occasions. Parker would mostly be outlanding Tua by a 3 to 2 sort of margin. He just isn’t slick enough to constantly move, pick his shots and keep his hands up. As with any fight where he has tried to box from the outside, he will have moments where he stops moving, gets trapped, and just generally comes under fire. Not good against Tua.
Parker isn't fast enough to keep out the way or hard punching enough to back Tua up. Tua early .no count needed
Parker fights like Bryd, like Ali fights like Rocky Marciano. Apples and Oranges. Bryd is faster, slicker and has a way better defense than Parker. Also Tua wasn't at his best then. We are talking the best Tua vs the best Parker. I would pick Bryd to outbox Parker as well.
This. I can’t see Parker keeping Tua honest for 10 rounds to keep Tua from eventually getting the stoppage.
Thing about Tua was, he could be outboxed by guys who didn't have a fraction of his power. Byrd did it, Fres Oquendo was a couple rounds way from a clear UD. I wouldn't count out Parker winning a UD.
It would either go one round or twelve. One round: Tua left hooks his head off. twelve: Parker wins on points.
Where did Parker get this reputation as such a good boxer. He's got good technique but I haven't seen any examples of him displaying anything exceptional in the areas of ring generalship, defense, instincts etc
Yeah i used to favor Parker because Parker beat Ruiz but Ruiz was tagging that ass early on and Tua hits WAY harder than Ruiz. In addition to that if Chisora gave Parker the fight of his life and Whyte dropped Parker with a left hook then at this point I'd have to favor Tua. Tua would get outboxed but he WILL land that shockwave of a left hook eventually
