In MMA punching as hard as boxers do is a good way to break your hands the diaz brothers are pressure fighters who hit you with 50% power over and over and over again and then once you get hurt turn up the heat to 100% and Nate and Nick most certianly are elite mma fighters when they were in their prime And Andre ward himself said that they were good at boxing and could succeed in the sport This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Ward is a lousy pundit, you don`t think elite boxers could use defensive moves to evade the Diaz brothers blows, there have been pressure fighters for years in boxing like Pryor and Chavez Sr who had a far better defensive coming in than the Diaz brothers, or Duran and Mike Tyson, two fantastic counter/pressure fighters, the Diaz brothers are nowhere near that level.
Obviously haha I said their elite pressure fighters for MMA not boxing not once did I say Diaz was on the level of Duran or Chavez or Tyson, Ward said they could compete in boxing that doesn't mean he or I was saying they were elite level boxers they have elite level boxing for MMA which is a lot different than elite level boxing for boxing and this is all to prove that connor has the best boxing in the sport of mma he out boxed Diaz who regularly spars with ward won the first 3 rounds on a judges score card against ATG Floyd Mayweather and Knocked down two divison world champion Paulie Malignaggi
Conor has far better boxing skills than the Diaz brothers but once Floyd adapted Conor couldn`t and blew himself out very early, Malinaggi was never a good boxer, he was taught by amateur coaches to pull back his fist after he punched which is bull plus he was old and fat as hell.
He didn`t out-box Lewis, it was just a brawl and he got hit constantly in that bout, Holy was a better counter puncher than Mercer and most olympic champs but had quite a poor defense at times.
Gatti didn`t know how to disgiuse his punches and neityher did Mercer, he didn`t beat Lewis, it was just a brawl with botyh guys knocking lumps out of each other, hard to pick a winner in that war.
Ah, I don't like Paulie, but he was a very good pure boxer. Excellent even. He just couldn't punch for s h i t.
Dude you seriously say some ridiculous things and this is right up there with the dumbest. Diaz abilities as a boxer have been talked about by fighters and people with far more knowledge then you like Andre Ward who he sparred with. Diaz was clearly an elite MMA fighter which has been supported by dozens of fighters (including his opponents like GSP) and experts being only below the absolute best, with his losses being against world champions and in his prime only losing a disputed decision against Condit in a title fight then against legends of the sport GSP and Silva, being the only person until recently to fight both.
I`m telling you that Diaz does not have the defensive skills of a world class boxer, Conor is far better at slipping shots and his footwork is better than Diaz`s also, Diaz is a good volume puncher which probably troubled Ward in a meaningless sparring match.
Pazienza was not world class he was beaten by Camacho when he was past his best, he was beat by Roger Mayweather, he was all over the place.
