Have you been at the orange juice and curly wurly bars again marky lad? If I've said it once I've said a thousand times, wanking makes you need glasses, so pack it in.

He didn't lose both fights to GGG.

He lost the first one, but GGG looked one-dimensional and slow in the rematch. Canelo took the rematch.

I had the GGG fights 1-0-1 for GGG and I thought Lara beat him too.

He won the first four rounds and then the fifth should've been 10-8 WITHOUT a knockdown. That put Steve six rounds down for a start. It was the only time McCallum ever backed off and turned his back though, when Collins finally ignored the Petronellis rather **** instructions to 'do a Kalambay' (**** off!) and turned from boxer to brawler.

    But no.

Not really sure why McCallum is the disproportionate favorite here. His resume is seriously lacking. For the first 7 years (32 fights) of his career he fought all of 4 top 10 fighters. 2 of which had rather inflated records and frankly wouldn't have come anywhere near a title while Canelo was at 154. Then he loses to a decent middleweight in Kalambay, barely wins a title against Graham, fights a green Collins, barely wins a rematch against Kalambay then goes on to never beat anyone significant the rest of his career. His resume is built on wins over Julian Jackson and Donald Curry along with his draw with Toney and losing performances against Toney and Jones.

Alvarez on the otherhand has wins over Golovkin (albeit shady), Austin Trout, Erislandy Lara, Miguel Cotto, Daniel Jacobs, Sergey Kovalev, and plenty of top 10 fighters. Managed to put on a great fight with one of the p4p greatest fighters ever, Floyd Mayweather. Not to mention he has shown insane ring iq and versatility. He went from a predominantly come forward traditional Mexican style to developing into a fantastic all around boxer-puncher who carries his power up with him.

    Canelo UD

    Agreed.

Mike would break Canelo down systematically. And I rate Canelo really highly at the moment, a fine fighter.

Mike is in a different class though.

We can debate that if you want. Kalambay's resume is inflated with cans. Steve Collins had like 16 fights...

I'd pick McCallum in his middleweight prime to beat Canelo in a pretty good bout. He'd keep the punches coming and the steady pressure on. Canelo is a good counter puncher, but likes to work at his own pace.

Mike seems to be a little underrated.
