Are they on the same level? I think they are. I maybe underrating Julio Cesar Chavez or overrating Oscar. JCC: Mayweather - KO2 Rosario - KO11 Ramirez - W11 Mayweather - KO10 Taylor - KO12 Camacho - W12 Whitaker - D12 Randall - W8 Taylor - KO8 ODLH Molina - W12 Hernandez - KO6 Leija - KO2 Chavez - KO4 Whitaker - W12 Camacho - W12 Quartey - W12 Vargas - KO11 Sturm - W12 Close Losses to Mosley, Trinidad and Mayweather
I think Oscar. I always thought because he lost to the best guys he faced in close fights it hurt his legacy unfairly.
Definitely Chavez. And if Oscar had fought a prime Chavez at 140 or below, he would have gotten his ass kicked.
To be fair, it's not like Chavez has a trailblazing win of his own. Oscar is definitely not greater, though. This should be a staple, and shouldn't even need to be asked.
Chavez has a defining win, it's just controversial. Had it been a 15 round fight it wouldn't be controversial.
Taylor shouldn't be controversial anyway, it's not like the referee knew how long was left in the round, and Taylor had already been broken and given brain damage.
What makes JCC on a higher tier? Is it resume or overall ability? I really see not much of the difference
