You fast forwarded through Floyd going to jail, delaying going to jail to fight one fight, the outside stadium on the strip, and other things by team Pac.. Just be fair.. You making it seem so one sided makes you look bad to be honest...

It doesn’t make me look bad at all.

How long did Floyd go to jail for?

I’ve not included that because it’s not in any way relevant.

It’s not like he went to jail for 3 years like Mike Tyson did.

    No.

He was only fighting 1-2 times per year and he issued a statement saying that fighting Manny earlier wasn’t the right time.

He aggressively attacked Manny at every opportunity. He slandered him, he racially abused him, and he told everyone that Manny wouldn’t take the test which was preventing the fight from happening.

Manny didn’t refuse the tests, he just made a cut off request with a legitimate reason for it. But even when Manny did agree to partake in all of the testing, including being randomly tested up until the the day of the fight, still NOTHING HAPPENED.

That should have told every boxing fan in the world that it wasn’t solely the testing issue which was preventing the fight from taking place.

Go and look at the timelines of the saga. (If you have the patience)

Go and look back at the old interviews and see how Floyd carried himself in the media. Go and look at how defensive and aggressive he was. How on edge he was.

His own father and Uncle had him spooked.

He had no interest in starting up negotiations again until Marquez had crushed him.

Floyd’s one of the greatest fighters who’s ever lived. But the truth is, he’s not as confident as what most people think. Which is why we saw unnecessary C-Ws, issues with his opponents gloves, and why he had an illegal IV etc.

This right there. Highly overlooked. I think everyone is aware of how insecure Floyd was. I HOPE i should say. His jealousy of guys like Oscar especially early on made him into what he became later, a WWE caricature, "Money." And it worked like a freakin charm! Bravo to him for that. But it built his defense mechanisms and to an almost form of paranoia. He took fights at the right time for him, just as many have.

I told you, there is video were Freddie Roach is asked why the fight did not happen sooner and he said that Manny did not want to give blood. Check it out. It was on the full access episode before Manny and FM fought. I think Roach knows a little more about the situation and dealings leading up to the fight than you do. I doubt there is a bigger Manny supporter than him.

It's not that he didn't want to give blood.

It's that he didn't want to give blood just prior to the fight.

Those 2 things are completely different.

Freddie can have his opinion. But he was making a huge assumption that the fight would have happened had Manny have ageeed to everything. Because we know that even when Manny did agree to everything, it still didn't happen until a few years later. So if it didn't happen straight after Manny's public concession in 2012-2013, why would it have happened in 2010-2011?

Why did Floyd make the statements that he made?

Why didn't he try and make the fight as soon as Manny made those comments, or at the earliest point possible?

Why did negotiations only start back up again after Manny had been knocked unconcious by Marquez?

Freddie's a highly respected trainer. But too much has happened for his opinion to carry any weight.

Sure, you can say that his opinion should be more respected than a boxing fan on a forum. But I'm looking at the facts of the timeline.

When Manny made his concession, you would have expected Floyd to have tried to have made the fight, seeing as though he'd been given what he claimed he'd always wanted. So the fact that he didn't even pursue it, speaks volumes.

Fast forward to 2015, and he was telling USADA that they had to be a clause issuing a retroactive TUE written into the contract.

If Manny had given blood, would the fight had happened earlier? Yes! If FM had given Manny a pass would the fight had happened earlier? Yes! It isn't uncommon for blood to be taken so close to fights, so it wasn't out of line for Floyd to request it. You just don't want to admit that it wasn't all Floyd's fault the fight didn't happen sooner. That's it! End of story!

Not to get between you guys back and forth but based off that logic you realize that Mayweather-Baldomir SHOULD have been for undisputed since Zab was the last true undisputed WW champ and realistically guys like Margarito or Cotto or even Hatton who manages to get a vacant title because Baldomir couldn’t pay all the sanctioning fees Might not have EVER been title holders at welter.

@Loudon the problem with you and most you guys arguments is that in the beginning it was Mayweather who gave up all the consession and manny who still walked. If your not being a fan boy and being honest

2009 manny ask for 50/50 split asked for all the typically aside perks like it being called Pacquiao-Mayweather, and Mayweather being treated like the challenger, if you actually paid attention 24/7 random testing was in the orignal contract from the start an Manny and his team laughed at the request and when Mayweather agreed to all THEIR demands sudden testing was an issue and 24 days was needed. Mayweather tried to negotiate and give him 7 day cut off then finally said 14 days to save the fight and Manny walked.

2010 after going thru testing with Mosley Mayweather said no more cut off, Manny came back agreeing to 14 day cutoff that was no longer there and from that point still didn’t agree to testing.

FF to 2011 Mayweather is signed to face wbc champ Ortiz in Sept and pac is signed to face JMM in fight III Nov, after beating Ortiz Mayweather called out Manny religiously and after Manny got his ass whoop AGAIN by Marquez only to be saved with the ACTUAL robbery of the year winner we heard about how manny had a cut how they needed a stadium, how Mayweather would be in jail so they couldn’t fight and all kinds of other non sense, and finally when Mayweather called offering 40mil guaranteed which was almost 2x as much as the 2009 offer they found an out the duck. The whole time Manny was really trying to fight Cotto and make him come down in weight when Cotto refused him and Mayweather fought each other.

after that Manny got knocked out and had to build back up, do people forget how the fight even happens Mayweather ran up on Lanny at a basketball game and called him out to his face this is documented so all that talk is bs.

Surgery? I thought pacquiao swam in the ocean and God healed his shoulder. Which was it?

Now you're being dense on purpose. If a professional boxing referee never told the fighters to continue and a boxer hit his opponent he would immediately disqualify him. And you know it.

There are even post fight comments where people acknowledge Cortez told them to fight. You had people saying it was Ortiz fault because he said continue "protect yourself at all times".

    From boxrec:

"CORTEZ WAIVED THEM BACK TOGETHER AND THEY TOUCHED GLOVES".

Hmm, what usually happens after 2 guys touch gloves and the ref waves his hands? I'll let you think about it since you're clearly slow and emotional.

"TIME WAS IN," CORTEZ SAID. "THE FIGHTER NEEDED TO KEEP HIS GUARD UP. MAYWEATHER DID NOTHING WRONG.

Straight from the horses mouth. Can we move on now? This **** was almost a decade ago and you're still crying.

Ortiz knew he screwed up, that's why he was apologizing after a blatant head butt, but apparently he's the "victim". What a shocker, you are picking the opponent's side even after a foul. Mayweather is always wrong.

All you are doing is proving my point that you're biased. If you're trolling you arent even a good one and you're only making yourself laugh.

This is an incredibly flawed argument.

-you accuse Paulie of being biased and not addressing the "bigger issue" but you aren't even addressing what paulie said! That's pretty hypocritical.

-you just admitted you didn't watch the video or at the very least are suggesting automatically has no merit since he's "biased".

First of all it wouldn't matter if it were Adolf Hitler was being interviewed. Debunk what the person said and prove their argument wrong.

Second, with that being said, Floyd was cleared and he has nothing to do with this conversation even if for the sake of argument he was guilty. Can we stay on topic? How come whenever the subject is Pacquiao people get so defensive and deflect?

And what was this legitimate reason?

You do realize why blood and microscopic testing is far more reliable in detecting substances? And why both fighters should WANT the strictest form of testing for their own safety?

I thought i already addressed this?

-It's very rare that you see guys carry their power up through multiple weight classes. Red Flag #1.

-it's even rarer to see a thin short malnourished guy to go from the lowest weight class all the way to the outskirts of middleweight and still somehow remain competitive. Red Flag #2

-it's VERY rare for a fighter to still be operating at an elite level and winning titles well into their 40's. Especially an aggressive fighter whose had such an incredibly long career with tons of wars and brawls. Red Flag #3

-it's rare to see a fighter stopping strong durable elite opponents and then suddenly no longer getting KO wins. Oscar de la Hoya was past his prime but he was always a pretty big guy with a solid chin and is naturally larger than Pacquiao yet he got taken apart like a Jenga tower. Hatton was a strong exciting fighter and Pacquaio demolished him with seemingly no effort. Mosley has an iron chin and pacquiao dropped him. He dropped and battered the iron chinned cotto from pillar to post; no one made cotto look that bad aside from margarito. Even years later when moving up in weight a prime canelo couldn't drop cotto. Fast forward a few years and for some reason pacquiao is no longer knocking guys out with sensational highlights that make him look like a miniature mike Tyson. Brandon Rios, jessie Vargas, Chris Algieri, Tim Bradley, Jeff Horn, none of these guys had the skill, defense, technique, or chin on the level of the above mentioned fighters and for some reason pacquiao couldn't put a dent in them. They were all C or B level at best.

You might counter this by saying Pacquiao was getting older, but we know power is the last thing to go. Pacquiao landed on most of them flush with multiple shots round after round and couldn't put them away. Destructive power doesn't just fizzle away like that if everything else is fine, Pacquiao's stamina, footwork, speed, timing, and accuracy were all still top notch and he proved it by beating 2 young prime fighters in Broner and Thurman so you can't say he was washed up. Red Flag #4

These could all be big coincidences but i don't believe in coincidences especially when there are 4 big red flags.

That actually works against Pacquiao since you would expect that he would be knocking out the little guys and having less KO wins as he moves up in weight. Yet he's neutralizing the top welterweights and made the hulking 154 pound margarito retire because of the beating he gave him. Hmm.

Even a devastating hitter like Thomas Hearns' power became less effective as he moves up. Same thing with Roy Jones, he wasn't brutally knocking out cruiserweights or heavyweights he had to usually settle for decision wins as he moved up. Floyd Mayweather ironically falls in this category as he actually had a lot of power in his lower weights but was less of a hard hitter as he moved up to 140 and 147. Call me cynical but I see this less of Pacquiao being "unique" and more like a red flag.

Maybe you forget the mayweather and. Mathyse fights were like 3 years apart? You're telling me Pacquiao fought Bradley, vargas, and Horn with a torn rotator cuff before finally getting surgery and then facing mathyse?

I thought he got surgery shortly after the mayweather fight? Oh wait, didn't he say he was healed by God by swimming in salt water? He can't even get his story straight?

Are You implying Mayweather was "scared"? The same guy who fought a prime Canelo? Maidana 2x? Maybe he was tired of going back and forth with a guy who had excuses and was just as guilty of delaying the fight? Why do people pretend like Pacquioa and roach never talked trash? They even did a commercial sneak dissing Mayweather "he's going to fight me?!".

So what you saying that everything that Bob Arum and Pac said don't matter, and everything that Floyd did and said does? It's 100% Floyd's fault the entire time and Pac was the sole victim? Ok.. All good...

Not at all but he should have lost clearly to Castillo and struggled with underappreciated yet limited Maidana (who gets bashed all the time on here) in what could easily have been called a draw or even loss for Mayweather hence the rematch.
Mayweather has had all the advantages against most of his better opponents, he has some good wins that were fair enough but what he's done isn't enough to justify his claims as the best ever or even anywhere close to it.

But you've never explained what you meant by "Confine boxing"
I'm not crying or trolling I'm just pointing out what a cowardly punk Mayweather is. Cortez rightfully took a point from Ortiz for the head butt. BUT If the matter was reversed do you think for one second Cortez would count Floyd out ???? C'mon get real
Its common knowledge Pac had surgery, but Floyd??? Musta been Ellerbe's caresses LOL
