Tyson eyeing comeback at age 53!

Looks tremendous for 53 tbh. Usually you,d be saying idiotic idea...he got knocked out from mcbride years ago. But if his books to be believed he was living like a bad amatuer back then training erratically at best if at all for some of them fights.

Would be interesting to see him training like a professional at 53....see what he could achieve with it. No ones saying he,ll knock joshua or fury out but why not have a go at something even if it is 4 round charity exhibition fights see how it goes.

 

Mike's technique on that final right hook is absolutely perfect. So explosive.

 

No disrespect, but this is obviously wishful thinking. There's no way a 53 year old man who, in his last fights was knocked silly by a couple of fourth-raters is going to come back after all this inactivity and beat a top 5 heavyweight contender.

Sorry, but I really hope Mike doesn't start listening to people like this. It looks like Mike has most of his senses, coming back would put that in jeopardy, not to mention other health hazards.

So he looks good (I don't know about great) for a few seconds in a mitt video. George Foreman in his prime looked like the most unbelievable, baddest man on the planet pounding those heavy bags in Zaire. Then the fight with Ali came...and went.

 

I think he would beat Danny Williams now.

The man is 53 let him get in shape do some charity exhibitions and feel good about what he is doing. Trust me I’m a big Tyson fan always was and always will be and I would love to get that time machine invented and turn back the clock but it’s not going to happen. Hitting mitts for a few seconds in a video and full out competition are 2 drastically different things. I agree with George Foreman when he said Mike has done enough for the sport, so if he wants to do some exhibitions I’ll be tuning in .

 

To be fair he just quit cause he couldnt knock Mcbride out and was running out of stamina

 

Yeah my mistake. Was an idiotic fight to take bearing in mind tysons stamina was poor by that stage. Finkel stuck him in with a guy outweighing him by 35 lbs then a guy that was 40 lb heavier. Williams and mcbride we,re poor but we,re durable enough with the extra weight to outlast tysons poor stamina.

He,d have still had success for another couple of years if thry stuck him in against guys around his weight i bet....cause you needed the extra weight to take his punches either that or be extremely durable.

 

No credible boxing commission will license him

 

Even Tank Abbott from the UFC world knows Wilder wouldn’t win today ,anyone who compares what each can do doesn’t take a Wilder in that one , please tell me where he Has an advantage in an actual fight not a number of age ?

What does Wilder do better ? He has a glass jaw , can’t deal with any type of pressure or movement, we know he can’t cope with a southpaw angle , he doesn’t throw large volume , has no inside game for a swarmer , has no one remotely on a Mike Tyson level where Mike made a career out of destroying guys like him with better boxing abilities.

The only thing one can say is if Mike Tyson tires out but I bet any amount Wilder doesn’t get out of round 2 ,literally every advantage is to Mike vs doubters what ifs , it’s painfully obvious you don’t bet against a guy just because of his last fight when we all know Tyson isn’t going to want to lose that one,he would batter a guy who disrespected him like a Wilder ,make him look like the excorcist .

In the end Wilders best win would be Stiverne if the bell hadn’t saved him in the Ortiz fight and your telling me a highly skilled boxer ,puncher can’t be favored at least if the fight doesn’t see 5 rounds ,which it wouldn’t? Come on now Wilders only chance is if Mike drops dead from exhaustion and that’s not a reason to bet against him . Lol

 

People would still pay good money to watch Tyson spar a few rounds but those thinking legitimate comeback are way off.
Yeah that combo he throws looks nice but there would still be 2 minutes and 55 seconds left in a round.

 

Hed beat 99% of people still. But hed lose to 100% of top 100 HW boxers.
