It doesn't matter. If the ref told you to continue fighting it doesn't matter if the is glancing the other direction or picking his nose or looking at his watch. Ortiz got hit fair and square and the ref himself acknowledges it. It was Ortiz fault for standing there like a jack ass. None of this would have happened if he had simply fought fair and didn't foul to begin with.

This is the last time I'm going to address this idiotic topic. I would have told my own boxer it was his fault.

Educating me by saying an old, tired, well-known thing like that. Well done.

Can I just ask you one question & get an honest answer ??? Do you think for one minute had it been Ortiz that cold cocked Floyd in the same situation that Joe Cortez would have counted him out ??? Ortiz had been rightfully docked a point for the ludicrous head butt. Joe knew he messed up there by not calling box on clearly

Pacquiao was A level. He was the #1 ring contender, a WBO champion, and the #3 p4p fighter in the world. Only A level fighters can be ranked top 3 p4p. He wasn't washed up by any stretch of the imagination he would go on to beat Bradley, broner, and thurman.

Canelo was arguably A level. He was a prime undefeated hard hitting fighter, the ring 154 champion and ranked #9 on the p4p list. Canelo went on to have an amazing career and Floyd made him look like a high school amateur.

    Give credit where it's due.

So Cortez "knew" he messed up yet he says mayweather did nothing wrong? I dont care about what if, i deal with reality. You never give mayweather credit in any of your posts. If you want to prove you arent a troll or biased now's your chance.

That early in his career and while he was with Top Rank, I don't think Vegas would "protect" him at that point.. You claim they do it for the money, but at that point he wasn't even a big name yet..

And you mixed up the 2 guys you love to hate, Floyd and Canelo, because it sounds like you'd say that about both..lol It seems like you copy and past the same argument for both guys but you forgot to change Canelo to Floyd...lol

All in all the only thing that can said be said of Floyd’s record is that it is an outstanding one of accomplishment. As for the haters and detractors they suffer from the syndrome of being Mayweathered. It’s okay to dislike a boxer on a personal level but to deny their greatness when they are is just wrong. Everyone who knows me knew I disliked Sugar Ray Leonard but I had to acknowledge his talent and all time greatness with his victories over my personal heroes such as Benitez, Hearns, Duran, Ayub Kalule, Hagler(albeit it debatable). I doubt I ever loved a boxer more than the Lone Star Cobra the great Donald Curry but yes I knew both at their best SRL would have won. That is objectivity which is a trait I wish the Mayweather haters could imbibe.

My opinion has been formed from debating him for weeks on threads that you didn’t partake in, where he has repeatedly ignored 15 documented facts, which were put forward by a respected sports writer and author.

Don’t jump in with your little hit and run comments when you have no idea what the context is or what I’m referring to.

    Bored debating me?

    Ha!

    Please!

I shut you down and then you never come back.

I use your own comments to bring you down.

I’ve been doing it for over 8 years now.

It’s me who should be bored.

    Move along.

See I blew it off as a typo too, but I realized you said Floyd didn't deserve the draw in Floyd/GGG 1 when Floyd never had a draw, and to randomly say Canelo didn't deserve a draw would be out of place there...

Regardless, after all this time I still do not understand why Floyd and only Floyd is protected by Vegas apparently his whole career.. I would assume his promoter at the time Mr. Arum had to be behind it right? When Floyd fought Castillo, it was only his 4th or so fight making a million+ dollars.. Of those 4 fights only 2 was in Vegas which was Castillo and Corrales.. At that point he wasn't making Vegas that much money compared to bigger names at the time, so why would they give him protection? Maybe because Vegas was the first ever to realize his money making potential 5 years before Floyd..lol I'm just confused...lol

If Ortiz headbutted Floyd then hit him there, he'd probably be disqualified.. Any other context would be hard to determine because Floyd wouldn't be stupid enough to stand there in the ring kissing on his opponent.. He also wouldn't be hit in his face twice while looking at his opponent and not get up.. Floyd has never been knocked down physically in his career.. The knee don't count and if you say Zab, it was ruled a slip and he wasn't physically down just a glove touch...

Floyd walks on water too according to you addicts LOL Face it man Floyd is just a manufactured fighter. He made $$$$$$$$ for Vegas & the NSAC so he was protected from losing by every means possible both legal & illegal eg "Mr Mayweather did nothing wrong so we will not be investigating this " How did they know he did nothing wrong if they didnt investigate ??

Of all the moves Floyd did that was considered 'controversial' this was by far the least deserving of hate. If I were Floyd I'd have kicked him in the nuts.
