The biggest misconception of this thread is that ggg fought a better version of canelo which couldn't be further from the truth. In reality canelo looks better now because he's not facing a once in a generation talent like pbf anymore, so ofcourse when you're not fighting the truth anymore you're going to look better.:deal:

The sequence you're betting on is at around 4:20. Slow it down if you need to.

Edit: beautiful highlights of Floyd schooling Canelo, worth watching the whole thing.

No, you're right. Canelo has not improved at all since being a 21yo facing the #1 rated boxer in the world...

I had the first fight a draw. Remember the gif showing Canelo twisting Glovkins head with a powerful right hand? That footage was presented as if was favorable to Golovkin.
That the level of delusion you're dealing with.

That's a better quality video of the sequence. Count them, that was 12 punches in a row. Punch #2 and Punch #4 rocked Floyd. Then he dug that last one, the left to the body. Then Floyd got the hell outta dodge.

Are you trying to deny that combo happened? Has anyone else ever landed that many punches in succession on Mayweather?

Those are pretty low quality but if you watch the full 10th round you'll see how strong Canelo started the 10th. Floyd was just backing up getting hit with shots, Canelo was the only one throwing punches and most of them landed many in combination. The first minute of the 10th was all Canelo. He was just peppering him with shots.

I think at one point Showtime uploaded the full fight to their youtube channel in HD but then decided to remove it. They probably removed it because showing the full match made people realize how close it was and they couldn't maintain the myth that Floyd dominated so they deleted it and only showed clips to make Mayweather look good.

Yeah im dead serious when there's no pbfs out there to fight you will look better those are facts. If the version of pbf who fought canelo fought the version who fought ggg he would have the same issues and look bad. He looks better because guys like ggg jacobs fielding kovalev and cotto arent on pbfs level. This is no diss to canelo who is a great boxer in his own right but is simply the truth.

I'm glad you posted that clip @DynamicMoves that's the best quality clip of that sequence we have on youtube. You can hear the thud of those 12 punches landed. And if you watch the whole entire round it's really fascinating what happened there. Before that sequence when Canelo was on the ropes he was just picking off Mayweather's shots and Mayweather eventually backed away since he couldn't land with Canelo on the ropes. (GGG experienced the same thing years later)

I mean that 10th round is very telling. Mayweather literally got schooled on the ropes that round . . . twice. First when he had Canelo on the ropes but couldn't land since Canelo's blocking and rope skills were so sublime, then when he himself went back to the ropes. Floyd went back to the ropes he couldn't do what Canelo did and got tagged with all those shots in that 12 punch combo. That was a masterclass round there by Canelo. No one's ever done anything like that to Floyd. Floyd was like what the hell just happened lol.
