The problem with that theory is that Pulev is practically the polar opposite of Ruiz: Pulev has no punch at all, is slow as molasses, does not go into the inside, stands on the outside and tries to jab.
Charles Martin, Molina, Ruiz 2nd fight, Dominic B rocked him? Neither did takem unless your counting a headbutt Povetkin got through once and it made AJ stumble ever so slightly Parker had an onslaught stopped by the ref but never rocked him once AJ hasnt the best mandable, we all know that but your obvious dislike for him shines through similar to another account that used to have a similar agenda to you
I'd need to re-watch to be sure but - I think in the 9th maybe - I have a recollection of a Parker uppercut rocking AJ. I'm sure of it. But it wasn't obvious at the time and I don't think Parker noticed. Was only brief mind you, and from memory it was a peach so I wouldn't use this as evidence of a bad mandible.
I think that was the moment i mentioned above where the ref stopped Parker from following up by breaking them up That ref was bloody awful that night
Herbie Hide got flatlined by jabs. Joshua took a full force right hand from Wlad and got up to win the fight. Like I said, up your game.
I don't think it was that one mate as I remember that part. Don;t particularly want to have to watch it again but I may have to at this rate
He brutally jabbed Ustinov till he brutally took a knee, and brutally outpointed Tony Thompson before brutally clinching Chisora to death. I think even Parker has more clean KOs than this guy.
Ruiz isn’t much of a puncher either. Ruiz connecting clean on Joshua is what did him in. Pulev doesn’t need much of a punch at all if he catches Joshua flush on the chin or on the temple, since even now Joshua’s head still doesn’t move. Pulev doesn’t slip punches and throw hooks like Ruiz does, but he does throw straight punches well and I have no doubt he’s going to be throwing a lot of right hand leads to Joshua’s body, since Joshua stands square a lot, which makes his body a very easy target for a fighter like Pulev. A lot of the tactics that were useless against a seasoned vet like Wlad might give Joshua, who’s still very inexperienced a harder time than people think.
He could have won by a "Bulgarian stopage". Throw a double jab to the gloves and ref stops the fight. A TKO win for the cobra.
