Cannot believe someone posted on this thread that Stiverne was a live opponent - the man was born a pudding and will leave the sport along with Charles Martin as the two worst World Heavyweight Champions ever.

Wilder still has the dangerous Windmill and as much is Dubois is improving he's still quite open.

No way the fight happens anyway.

If somehow the Fury fight doesn't go ahead I can see Wilder taking on someone like the Polish-American sausage who is a sitting duck for that right hand .

Three, one of which was a guy named Peter Milas of no great ability or accomplishment about two fights before Dubois fought him.

But as he is aging, it is becoming more common.

Said Milas did it in his eleventh fight. You might have missed this fight. And to re-iterate, the point is that Dubois has not improved that much that we should be talking about throwing him in there with a former titlist, even a fraudulent one, just yet.

    I guess you laugh easily.

But we;ll see. He seems like a nice guy so I actually hope that I am wrong. I have just never seen such confidence in a guy that is manifestly not that special.

It's not so much faith in Dubois as a lack of faith In a Fury'd wilder

Tyson fury punched Wilders coooont all the way in for him. He's finito

Like I said, I am on record as being the first and loudest to call out Wilder for being a fraud. That being said, he is a fraud with 44 fights, a good right hand, and decent wins against mid-level competition. I would give Dubois 2 solid years before throwing him in there, and that is all I am saying.

Wilder has somewhat come back, but when I got into this argument, there were about six votes for a Dubois knockout, and none for any kind of Wilder victory.

Never said he's on a par with Tua. More could he have the same career as him (yes) which puts him above Wilder in terms of opposition beaten.

Dubois has never been hit in his life basically. I'd urge some caution before chucking him in with a monster puncher.

That he could have a similar career to Tua? Probably on the basis that he's a big punching heavyweight boxer who has looked promising thus far in his career with no massively obvious weaknesses. Can't believe I need to actually type that out but, what the heck. Not much else going on.

You’re seeing a guy hitting a heavy bag, basically, with the opposition he’s faced so far.

He fought Stormin’ Norman Gorman or whatever his name is and got nailed by basically every right hand the guy threw. He also seems to lack speed, athleticism, flexibility and explosiveness. Those are all obvious weaknesses.

If you see this guy and think ‘looks like another David Tua’ because he’s thickly muscled, you’ve probably seen about 100 ‘next David Tua’ types who didn’t pan out.
