How popular do think this view is? who else but you would rate Ingo above Charles or Walcott? I don’t think this says much for your judgment.
Young green Patterson faced older Moore and Moore faced worst version of Marciano! 1952 Marciano would beat Moore even easier! Marciano fought prime Moore and Patterson fought Moore who overtrained because he was in jail for fake raping! 1952 Marciano>>>>1954 Marciano>>>>1954 Moore>>>>>1956 Moore! Peak Moore would beat that Patterson also as Maxim did! Prime Moore few years before that beat Maxim who beat Patterson! And Moore also did better against Durelle than Patterson!
I could because his stamina, harder punch, better chin and workratio!Liston had a bit glass in his jaw and his stamina was not very good! Rocky could give and take better than Liston and his stamina in later rounds would prevail!
The list of ,,so called Bums that Rocky fought are well known and he struggled often. Styles make fights, a man who's giving up over 20 pounds in weight , 15 inches in reach , and 3 to 4 inches in height walking straight at Sonny will lose. George Foreman said the only man he never could back up in the ring was an old Sonny Liston in sparring, he also said Sonny was the strongest man he'd ever been in the ring . Rocky can't come forward, against Sonny's firepower, a shot Joe Louis busted Marciano's face up with a jab, Sonny's would be like a telephone pole in the face by comparison. Rock ain't seeing round 3.
I would certainly pick Ingo over the version of Charles that faced Marciano. The Walcott fight would be pick'em.
Style makes fight but remember Marciano did not have style he was a brawler without style!I only know that Rocky struggled but won all by ko while Liston struggled lost and quit! 3,4 inches in height?Marciano was 5ft 10 and Liston was 6ft even in their picture they looked very close height! 15 inches in reach?Rocky was 67 and Liston was really 80 inched which is 13 inches but Louis also had big reach and got beaten and what about Lewis and Cleveland Williams both knocked by very small man proves reach does not mean anything!Who lost straight walking against Sonny maybe scared Patterson?Besmanoff decked Sonny and bump right into him and only gets stopped on his feets and what about Leotis Martin who bumps right into Liston and knocked Liston out? George Foreman said only he was the scariest and he said Lyle as the strongest man he ever fought or spar! Also that was 17 years old green Foreman!Mac Foster in sparing match came right in the Liston and knocked him out badly! That was also very green Foreman who was beaten also by Quarry in sparing and said he was scared against Frazier and Norton and guess what he beat them! Joe Louis never busted Marciano with a jab,and Louis jab was better, faster and more slick than Liston jab and Also Louis was bigger man than Liston and guess what Rocky knocked him badly! https://gfycat.com/vengefulgrippingbuckeyebutterfly Sonny lack of chin, stamina and heart would make him beaten very bad!He would be destroyed late by Rocky and he would not smell 10 rounds but even if he did he would get killed even worse!
I imagine it's not too unpopular, the Ingo which clattered Patterson was an animal, and like I said. Patterson > those 3. No one rates Ingo above them on HW lists, that's not the same as saying he'd beat them. And seriously, is that how you judge fights? If so we may have found your problem. Don't worry about my judgement. Focus on your own.
He dealt Louis jab which was faster, slicker and equal strong jab!And Louis was bigger man! https://gfycat.com/vengefulgrippingbuckeyebutterfly He would dealt Liston jab with an ease!
You are like a broken record neither Louis or Walcott were NO way near their best at the time they fought Marciano as for LaStanza decent but not top class
Rex Layne, a powerful puncher, who knocked out 25 of his first 36 opponents. 69% ko ratio! Heavyweight Action ranked Rex Layne as the 11th best heavyweight boxer of the decade of the 1950s, with the top 3 spots held by Marciano, Walcott and Charles He beat Satterfield and Walcott also!
