My comment was in reference to SerbianLoudMouth's atrocious writing. At least, you put thought and effort into your posts (no matter how laughable and unbalanced they are). SerbianLoudMouth is just a moron who knows nothing about boxing and never learned English passed a 3rd grade level (that's being generous). It's a miracle that he's still here and anyone responds to him anymore.

That doesn't answer my question. Please show me an instance of Liston quitting OUTSIDE Ali. Not sure how you missed that.

Missed all my posts. Have I done it? Have I finally become more stubborn than Choklab? Bit anticlimactic, to be honest.

Why doesn't Ali count? It was arguably the only fight where he was legitimately tested and he quit. The only other fighter that comes close to Marciano that Liston beat was Patterson and his chin was literally the opposite of Marciano's. Marciano didn't quit in any fights.

It isn't common for heavyweight champs to just quit in their first title defense.

One thing you need to know about Chok, is he will ignore every post you make in favor of the one he can best argue. I'm one of 5 Chok experts along with John Thomas, McVey, McGrain, and SolomonDeedes. You are on your way to making it 6 my young one. Congratulations!
Relax buddy you still got a ways to go. Trump hasn't reached Choklab levels of stubborn yet.

Reasonable question. But that's not true that was the first time he was tested. Marshall broke his jaw, and Liston didn't quit, instead fighting valiantly to a SD that could've gone either way. Williams' broke his nose and was pummeling him with big shots and Liston came back to KO him in the third round. Valdez shut Liston's eye and Liston came roaring back to KO him in the next round! So to say that was the first time Liston was tested is simply not true.

Here's a tip for the future; make your polls public.

Ahh, believe me, I've been around long enough to know how Choklab can be. I remember the Foreman/Marciano thread.

That's babying Liston a bit don't you think? It's a fight, you have to expect to some degree that you're going to get hurt somehow. A broken jaw against a b leveler like Marty Marshall or a broken nose are things you just have to accept you'll fight through. Marciano had his nose literally split open to the bone and didn't quit. How long did Liston have to deal with a broken nose against Williams, 6 minutes? That's hardly the impressive feet like fighting with a broken jaw against Ken Norton. A broken nose is just uncomfortable, not painful. The punch that does it is worse.

You're on your way young one. Next step is coming to the Chok academy for additional training. You must also attend the "web of lies" seminar. Then and only then can you obtain a degree in Chokology.

Love both of them but to me it’s a coin flip...a gun to my head Rocky probably wants it more like he did in all his fights.

My favorite is a shot Louis's jab being better than Liston's.

Multiple people quit through injuries less severe than these. Getting your jaw broken and fighting 6 rounds while relatively inexperienced requires a tremendous amount of courage. Liston might not have an entire fight with a broken nose against Williams but the fact remains he was tested with adversity, didn't give up, and came back to win. To say it any other way is wrong.
