Frank Warren feels aggrieved and slightly bitter that he's no longer got the monopoly of British boxing. Not exactly sure the first instance of bad blood but probably filtered down when Eddie took over from Barry.
Rumours are that Frank pumped Eh Day's mother 9 months before he began breathing in similar circumstances to Harry Hewitt. He was furious when he found out and has been seething since.
Come on guys let’s try to construct a timeline of the feud who can pinpoint when the first insult was unleashed
When Hearn got exclusive use of the Sky platform. That cheesed off no end of people including Frank which in a way was justified as overnight he lost lucrative dates/money.
Thats roundabout the time I remember it starting but I’m just trying to confirm who fired the first shots also why did sky decide to only use Eddie as their promoter ?
Hearn built a good stable of UK fighters, talked well in front of the camera and Barry’s PDC Darts (2nd most watched sport in UK) is exclusive to Sky
Frank is old school, he's all about putting on the best fights, giving the fans their moneys worth, building his fighters careers and doing what's right by them. Hearns is a silver spoon slimy mother ****er who doesn't even like boxing, knows nothing about the sport and is all about the money Hearns is disrespectful and an arrogant idiot, I'm sure Frank wouldn't have minded him if he showed a bit of courtesy and basic respect, but yearn is a reptile incapable of such things, so Frank has had to show him the hard way. Hearns is one Pulev right hand from his empire going under, DAZN and Sky are furious with him for recent results and he will soon be fired imho
Well, any sane boxing fan is furious at Sky for recent results, so that works out. The sooner Eddie gets lost and others are allowed a chance to create a solid bread-and-butter product, the better.
It's rivalry. Warren has always been ego and control driven etc, and I'm guessing quite jealous of EH
Matchroom did to Warren in the 90s, what Warren did to Astaire/Levine/Duff in the 80s. New boys on the block, **** off the alleged established top dogs.
