Super negative guy. He had the skills to be a contender but not the mentality. On a good night he was a fringe contender. As evidenced by his close fights with Charr and Hammer and victories over Leapai, Haumono and Pianeta. Tough journeyman who at the end of the day who fought just about everyone.
Too bad Johnson never got Wilder on his record. Probably a bit too durable and dangerous for him at that time.
Some fun facts. Frank Warren's pet Frankenstein Daniel Dubois couldn't put a dent on Johnson's iron mandible. Seems he needs some of the bodybuilder Joshua's green spinach when he fights in the UK. Lol.
I tried to tell this fool. Put some damn respect on Johnson’s name. Dubois didn’t come close to taking him out.
He's one of the trickiest guys in the HW division. Super hard to land clean on or drop. The fact that Joshua was able to blast him out so quickly is actually a great testament to how good Joshua is, because no one else has come close.
Good interview from the champ. In good spirits as always. Says he'll probably do two more fights and then it's time to retire. This content is protected
He's a quality journeyman with one of the best defences in the HW division. You need those sorts of fighters to progress check up and comers. Horrendous fighter to watch though.
