It is true. Some guys fight in 4th gear in sparring and others in 2nd, and the guy in 4th will look like he won it. I had a friend who had one amateur fight once and somehow he got to spar Tony Lopez at a gym I think in Reno- in that area. And he said he was outboxing him and Tony was cussing at him as they boxed. Do I think it happened? My friend would not make it up completely, but somewhere there has to be an exaggeration. This was the early 1990s and Tony was good then. Sparring is not the real thing.

 

But then why did he say that if Lennox did not have any children, perhaps the family jewels? Just asking.

 

I don't know why he said that but ehh he was pretty hyped up and said whatever came to his head I guess.

Leotis Martin once beat Liston in sparing ad guess what he beat him in real fight too!
Ali beat Bugner and Ellis in sparing and beat them in rela fight too!
Mitch Green did not beat Holmes but Tony Tubbs when Holmes was like 1000 years old!
A focused Tyson could hit Holyfield with a loaded gloves with brick but Evander would still stands because his Iron chin!Lennox Lewis,Cooper and Foreman are harder puncher than Tyson and guess what they could not KO Holyfield!
