I agree with this. Bowe was easy to hit like hell and he is not better inside fighter than dempsey

Nobody is comparing their careers this is a h2h match. Besides of Holyfield, Bowe has crap in his career and he did beat evander 2- 1 because he had clearly stylistical advantage but Evander was the greater fighter hands down, simply Bowe was for evander the equivalent of Norton for Ali

Dempsey was a harder puncher than Holyfield and he brawled very good in the close distance and like you know Bowe did not have any defence so he would get hit and very hard, Dempsey was very mobile on his feet he could move around inside -outside ,he had a very good move of head and bowe would respect his power.

The only way to judge their abilities head to head is to use their actual performances as a standard, not some generalized perception or ballyhoo repeated ad nauseum by their promoter.

I am not convinced that Dempsey was a harder puncher than Vander He was knocking over cowboys, miners and lightheavies. Put Holy in that mix and some of those guys would die.

Bowe was an excellent infighter and during his brief stay at the top had a stout beard. And tho Bowe was a bit porous on the defensive side, he wasn't getting nailed by ham and eggers like Firpo. Dempsey often abandoned a disciplined approach, got squared up and wide open. Bowe was surprisingly quick for a man his size and could crank hooks and uppercuts in tight quarters. This is pure misery for Dempsey.

You know you love you some Jack Dempsey! In fact, you love all 1910-1930 heavies and think those HW era's were the best and most skillful of all HW era's!!

I disagree. Dempsey slayed his share of giants. Riddick Bowe may be no different. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
