He's got that enthusiasm every old jock gets when they start working out after some years and find they still have a spark of what they were - but no matter who you are, 53 isn't 23, or 33, or even 43. I wish him well and think he'll do fine with the stated purpose of three-four round exhibitions ... but beyond that, he's risking embarrassment. I remember Mark Spitz making a comeback of sorts years ago; he looked awesome in training, but in his first real race, he was trounced.
It's cool that's he's getting back in shape and seems to be in a good place in his life but please don't come back.
Fury Wilder re-ignited the passion in these men. the two last great American heavyweights. Fury literally saved HW boxing by destroying Wlad and bringing it back to the US
Then that would make Mike the #3 current best US HW if that were the case, behind Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter and Shannon the Cannon
Yeah if an ancient decrepit wheelchair-bound Old Man River Ortiz with his glass chin and his dangerously high blood pressure can box D's ears off x 2 before old age and his glass mandible got the better of him then a 53 Mike with an eight week camp would should spark him out cold
I also noticed Holyfield seems way passed it From high comes across in that video if he wanted to make himself seem more legitimate and a viable threat (on some level ) he should’ve went out and put a little more speed behind his punches he looks so slow and “old” compared to the ( try dhot) Tyson video
If these guys are now all putting out training videos, it is pretty much inevitable that they are going to fight each other in some capacity. Well, Bowe hasn't trained in decades, but he needs the money.
