    Ironically enough, YOU sound like the one who didn't follow the sport back then.

    Nobody ever, ever thought Roy Jones would lose. Not even his haters.

    How is it shocking that Lennox Lewis got KO'd, when it had happened before?

    Well even if @roughdiamond didn't follow the sport in 04, I did. And moreover, I posted on this forum and several others in 04.

    To put in perspective for you guys, since you weren't here, it was THE MOST shocking occurrence in history of boxing message boards, which gives you a REAL indication of how big it was, since we know the sport better than the mainstream.

    Every... single... boxing forum on the net crashed due to the influx of traffic when Roy got counted out. I don't recall that happening with Lewis-Rachman.

    I can't emphasize enough how big Roy's aura of invincibility was at the time.

    He didn't? I had it like 9-3 for Jones and Roy made Tarver freeze up whenever they stood in the centre of the ring. Actually, after 2/3 rounds Tarver went into a shell, and only came out when Roy was on the ropes.

    Those were the only times he had success.

    I don't have much respect for you or for @roughdiamond, but for different reasons.

    I'll take my knowledge of this era over his any day.

    You can play the BS with him since he said he didn't follow the sport then, but you can't with me.

    It's like if we lived in same town, and you told me that it snowed last Tuesday, when I know for a fact it didn't.

    Jones-Tarver was a MUCH BIGGER DEAL than Lewis-Rachman. I'm very convinced you weren't around.

    Nah, I can't even remember my own posts from yesterday. You take this niche, semi anon boxing board too seriously I think, but then again I used to as well.

    And, honestly, I was never 100% sure whether your age was real or intended as a joke/filler or whatever. But you are right that I should have just asked what your basis of knowledge on this point was.

    Only there's concrete proof that I'm not. Ask a guy like a @Dubblechin, who I know from the Secondsout forum - which to this day was the biggest and best boxing message board in history at its peak. But of course, you wouldn't know that...

    I've been posting on boards since 2000, so there's people who can attest to the fact that I was a hardcore well before 2004. The boxing message board community is very small.
