That's where I assume it will take place. We'll soon hear from Hearn what he thinks about the $10m, he's not one to keep quiet about anything. I still think the amount is a tad optimistic...

It’s obviously his plan or should I say the plan of his management team.
From the moment he got back to his changing room after fight 2 everyone was saying
    “There’s no need for a 3rd fight”
    “Wilder can’t beat Fury”
“Wilder needs a couple of confidence fights before fighting Fury again”
“The fight was so one sided and no one wants to watch it again”
“Fury will win even easier in a 3rd fight”.

Then Wilder came out and said he was triggering the rematch clause, it was blatantly obvious then that it was a positioning statement designed to get the largest amount of step aside money he could get.

There’s nothing wrong with that except Wilder would show himself in a better light if he dropped all the posturing and statements of denial about being beaten by the better man.

    He will get it.

The UFC card last weekend did 700k PPV buys. People are thirsty for entertainment. There is nothing to spend money on and they are willing to pay.

    Good decision

I wish him all the best i'm sure he could be champion again if he waits.

$10m sounds like the right price.

    Tyson Fury is jesus

shows how big a fight AJ Fury is when they are willing to pay up $10m to Wilder. The risk of a loss at HW is higher especially with AJ hehe.

Only problem is Arum. He is eager for the bodybuilder to fight Pulev. And I don't think Pulev will pull out this time.

    Arum isn't a dummy

If AJ lost to Pulev (20% chance) then that;s a $100m fight out the window

Wilder Fury 3 is a $30m fight AT BEST

So buisness wise it's probably the correct decision to pay off Pulev and Wilder to step aside. Fury AJ is a MASSIVE fight.

Hearn will play hardball though he knows Fury has AJ's number.

Hope the numbers add up. We all want Fury vs AJ.

It does make sense. If Fury beats AJ then Wilder vs Fury 3 is for all the belts and would be worth way more than it is right now. I do wonder if there's a time limit on the third Wilder vs Fury fight and that's why Wilder is suddenly keen on the step aside option. The immediate rematch contract can't be indefinite and no one would have assumed a pandemic would delay it...

Fury AJ in December in the UK or USA makes $100m EASILY.

Talking Floyd Pacquiao money that comes around so rarely Hearn and Arum would be crazy not to go after it.

Hearn should sell AJ off...he lost to Ruiz so why risk him losing again? Hearn knows Fury will beat AJ but it's still worth it.

    Id rather see Aj-Fury anyway that's a bigger fight than Fury-wilder 3.

I hope its true but i find it hard to believe Al Haymon loosens any potential grip on the HW scene

    Al makes Wilders decisions

All quotes from unknown sources too which is suspect

The Athletic sourced this claim anonymously from a "well connected manager" who said Wilder was offered that figure. No word on Wilder's feelings on it. Somebody misread.
