Canelo has climbed multiple weight classes and fought top competition. Clearly will leave behind a much greater legacy
A guy who got schooled by pbf put into a coma by a guy pbf schooled and has jeff horn problems isn't top 10 in anything.
ROFLMAO!!! Floyd couldnt school anyone he cannot read or write . Even after blatantly cheating & the NSAC sabotaging Pac Mayweather barely managed to beat an injured Pac. Even Floyd Sr called him a coward One lucky punch cost Pac that fight As for Horn that was the biggest robbery since the James gang rode ROFL Pac won fighter of the era by blood sweat & tears Floyd FAILED to win it despite cheating & having a corrupt state commission backing him
Canelo didn't climb anything he weight drained and fought at catchweights for half of his career before finally manning up against GGG.
And the results if the results are honest and accurate. Canelo gets credit for wins whether he wins or not. His best honest wins are against Kovalev, Jacobs, and Cotto. The others,Golovkin, Lara and Trout were cash cow wins, just make it competitive and remain standing. On the other hand Golovkin arguably could have two wins over Canelo,Then the win over Jacobs, Derevyanchenko, which i understand is somewhat controversial, but I thought Golovkin deserved the win but I don't argue with others that feel he lost, and Golovkin's 17 straight title defenses by KO. I think they match up pretty evenly resume wise. Outside of the others mentioned, Canelo's other wins were over, Chavez jr, Smith, Khan, Kirkland, Angulo, a greatly diminished Mosley and Cintron. Golovkin's were Martrosyan, who although was off for a while, was training for other fights that fell through and was in fight shape. Martrosyan had two close fights with Lara, and should have a victory over Mell Charlo, Brook, Lemieux, Murray, Geale, Stevens, Macklin who was robbed vs Sturm and gave prime Martinez all he could handle , Ishida, Rosado, and Proksa. Although Canelo's resume is probably better, it isn't as much better as you make it out to be.
He would be number 1 PFP if he got the nod over Canelo. What a difference a judge makes. oh yeah, GGG is in the top 10 PFP by virtually every boxing site or magazine. Just not #1.
He proved it twice already and continues to prove it. Golovkin, on the other hand, is back to keeping tomato cans in check.
