Very difficult to tell because the quality of footage on Fitz is so poor.

Given that the slick Corbett outboxed Fitz for many rounds before Fitz stopped him, my guess is that an athletic phenom like Jones Jr. would be able to outspeed him for a decision. I doubt Corbett was as fast as young Jones, and I think Fitz likely loses this.

Tunney I would also favor to win a decision over Fitz

Fitz was strong enough to ko modern day cruisers. I would imagine a Qawi match up would be 50-50 because Qawi would be walking into those punches.

I need to think about the other match ups

    Tough

Great points you make. Do you think that Fitz hit harder than Michael Spinks?

Very hard to say but I would guess he did.

Fitzsimons has to be one of the greatest pound for pound hitters ever. My guess is that he hit slightly harder than Spinks but I can't be certain of that.

Its just such a pity that the film available of so many greats is of such horrendous quality. I still rank guys like Fitzimmons and Greb as all time p4p greats because of their incredible fests. They deserve high all time rankings. H2H comparisons become so tough due to the footage available, or in case of Greb, due to no footage available.

Jones, Tunney and Qawi beat him.

Saad is too hittable imo, he never faced power like Fitz's. If Eddie shows up he probably wins? Idk, toughie.

You think Jones beats all the old timers, especially below HW

Actually I don't. I think Greb beats him.

And I only pick like 9 people over Jones from 160-175, soooooo it's not a bias, Jones was just that good.

Qawi would stand in front of Fitz, I don't think that would give him much chances. More durable (although probably not as good) pressure fighters got stopped by Fitz.
