Andy has already had a ton of trainers and I personal seen him drive several of them crazy with his lack of discipline. Because Andy used to train by my old apartment I consider him a local boy like I do Arreola, David and José Benavidez and hope he does take his diet and career more seriously, but I doubt it will happen. Joshua basically showed up with a very stupid game plan in the first fight and Andy made him pay for it. Andy’s durability was no secret and Joshua still went into the match to bomb him out.
He was in semi-oblivion before catching lightning in a bottle. He's now had 3 different trainers in I believe the past 3-4 years. If becoming the holder of 3 separate HW belts can't cause him to buckle down, focus and take his livelihood seriously, a change in trainers will?
He was ill disciplined and lazy when he was penny less. Being a multi millionaire surrounded by his entourage of ‘friends’ and yes men only means one thing.
He'll do exactly the same as if his trainer was Ronald MacDonald. Trainers don't motivate Ruiz. Nothing motivates him. He's just a lazy slob who happens to have great natural ability.
This is his best shot but he is more that likely going to blow it. He'll have a couple more disappointing fights and then nothing. He does not have the will power and motivation to get in shape.
If he picks up Canelo`s tactics he`ll be awesome, these trainers are really good, but easier said than done and Ruiz is a bit thick.
Canelo`s trainers are really good, Canelo has got better and better since his bout with Floyd, his fight IQ is fantastic now, Ruiz can get better in the same fashion but he lacks focus and discipline.
Many fighters that grow up poor lose motivation once they get a decent amount of money and stop caring.
I don’t know but depending about what you think about Abel Sanchez’s & Manny Robles’s opinions they both complain about dude’s lack of work ethic & dedication. https://www.essentiallysports.com/i...e-to-andy-ruiz-jr-changing-camps-boxing-news/ hopefully he realizes this is prolly his last chance at redemption. Dude is super gifted, work Andy!
This zinger only really works when in response to allegations against someone who WASN'T busted and punished for PED use.
They’ll do good until one night they get a great win and then after the club at Andies house they will have to much and end up into a Mexican war death fight over a fast food meal Ruiz feels someone snagged his extra nacho burrito they got from Taco Bell and Ruiz father will be to late to tell Andy to call it a night and walk into a room of a dozen guys fighting where it causes rifts the next day he’s looking elsewhere again.
Ruiz will improve no doubt but his size limits him against the taller more agile fighters like joshua and fury I would like to see ruiz take on ortiz then target fury
Ruiz's problem is not technique or his boxing IQ . He has fast hands, pretty accurate, and can work his way inside to make up for his lack in reach and height. The problem with Ruiz, in my opinion, is he lacks motivation, drive, and discipline . You can't pay someone to give you the drive, discipline, or motivation. That comes from the boxer. The trainers job is to help fine tune your technique, conditioning routine, and come up with a game plan for your next fight. The trainer can't do **** to a boxer other than quit from frustration if he doesn't show up or listen. Hiring a big name trainer to help you find your heart ? Good luck Tin man.
