Kindly remove your lips from Fury's butt region, dude.

I think folks are getting a little bit ahead of themselves, myself included. While it's true that the confidence of the Bronze Bomber is shattered, Deontay Wilder the man is a different entity. We must remember that Wilder has been getting knocked out since he started boxing. This isn't really new territory for him. He is actually quite aware of how limited he is, which bodes well for him.

Obviously he'd be a 7 or 8 to 1 underdog in an immediate rematch, but if he gets a confidence boosting fight he's hardly finished. He will never hit the same high he was on, but he can make a good second career out of this. How many times has he been KO'd in sparring? Remember his "war" with Nichols? His career has hardly been incessant sunshine. He's had to pull through a lot that we aren't considering.

Exactly. I don’t think his career is over but his career is over as far as very high dollar pay days

I think he can still fight his way along the B level, but he is certainly out of the very top tier running for a title

Wilder is literally fighting for the World Title when boxing resumes. (LOL)

Do you clowns even follow boxing?

Honestly. This is the dumbest comment I've read today. The only guy who can win the world heavyweight title in 2020 is Deontay Wilder.

The only guy the World Champion will fight in 2020 is Deontay Wilder. (He fought him to start the year and he'll fight him to end the year.)

Wilder wants Fury next. Fury wants Wilder next. They are contractually obligated to fight next.

Not only is he in the running, no one is in the running EXCEPT for Wilder.

    Hasn't that sunk in yet?

How slow are you guys, honestly?

He's only "in the running" to the same extent that I'm "in the running" to win the lottery

Barring an astronomical level fluke Wilder can't beat Fury.

What? (LOL) He said Wilder's career was over for high-dollar paydays and Wilder was out of the running for a title.

And Wilder is getting both a high-dollar payday AND a title shot in his first fight back this year.

So many people just talking nonsense today.

Fury fought dirty and rough. More rough than dirty. That's how he won, he took it to the streets. Very old school and clever. If Wilder can fight that way and give as good as he gets with the same aggression, he can win the 3rd fight.

I'd still like to see the Whyte fight happen. The build up would be worth the price of admission by itself.

    Poor comparison.

Joe Louis was very young (age 22) when he fought Schmeling, while Wilder is age 35, close to the age Louis was when he retired.

Lewis was also much younger than Wilder is the first time he fought McCall.

Ruiz was supposed to be the AJ killer, he’d be the best win on Wilders record .

Is his career over ? Maybe as champion which indicates yes because his huge ego but he has numerous fights one would be definitely tuning into, DDD, Joyce , Hrgovic, MARTIN? Let’s not forget just bc AJ wins doesn’t mean Wilder does,it’s up to him to keep going but losing to Fury again is not the end unless he wants to fight without a title.

No he can always fight handpicked fights like Molina, Arreola, Malik Scott, Washington, Gavern, etc.

Wilder has beaten higher ranked fighters. Hell, Luis Ortiz is STILL ranked higher than Andy Ruiz and Wilder's knocked Ortiz out twice.

Andy Ruiz was unranked and a late sub when he knocked off Joshua. That was a TERRIBLE loss by Joshua. But that doesn't make Andy Ruiz a top fighter any more than upsetting Napoles made Billy Backus a top scalp once he lost the return to Napoles.

Ruiz is back to where he was before the Joshua upset. Ruiz is going to lose a lot in his career.

Andy Ruiz will be out of the top 10 and forgotten the next time he loses (which will probably be the next time he steps in the ring).

And the 'hand-picked' guy he's choosing is the undefeated World Champ.
