Well women seem to quite fancy AJ don’t they! Personally I think AJ is just being himself. It would appear even other female boxers and boxer WAGS are attracted to him.

 

Thd bodybuilder is just phony. I bet Joshua has a room in his house with lots of large pictures of himself, a large glass cabinet with those Wbo, Ibo, Wba, and and Ibf shiny belts. And a big picture of Ronnie Coleman on his wall holding the Mr Olympia trophy, but with Anthony's head stuck on the top of the picture!

 

Of course he's arrogant. He's a world champion and multi-millionaire. The fact that he isn't totally up his own arse is a testament to his character, not how well Eddie Hearn has programmed him. Fighters that are puppets are easy to spot. They repeat words like a mantra, display zero intelligence in interviews, and come across as corny and fake. They also have a habit of saying stuff like "To this DAY!"

He's a lot like Frank Bruno in the sense that he's basically a violent man with a very sketchy past, who's decided to go with this very bland, inoffensive, public persona for marketing purposes. Fair play to him.

Fair to say that I'd also be "arrogant" if I had his money & physical abilities.

 

I agree that Boxing is a commercial business first and foremost (never forgot that). AJ / Matchroom have created an incredibly successful machine.

 

He just Lacks charisma is all, he is a pretty boring guy. Since his loss I think he seemed to be himself more but is doing his boring philosophical babble more as well, it’s just who he is, or at least who he wants to be. Nothing against him really, but I even found Lennox more interesting when he was champ, which is saying something...

fury will certainly wipe the floor with AJ in the war of words but I get the impression they don’t mind each other. I see more of a mock grudge match than the real thing. I think people might be disappointed that fury goes easy on AJ, well in comparison to Wlad anyway.

 

Hes not arrogant...hes jealous...people consider Fury the best HW.

Why?

Anthony Joshua is undoubtedly highly media-trained. He also does try his hardest to say philosophical things. Rather than sounding akin to Artistotle, he comes across as corny and dare I say it, cringe worthy.

Being arrogant may be unlikable, but not many wouldn't be arrogant if they were in his shoes. Where Anthony Joshua's issue lies is how he constantly propagates this "humble" persona.

Your belief that anybody who notices as much has mental problems worries me about yourself.

My favourite boxer is Tyson Fury. That doesn't mean that I can't say he has made me cringe more and more with some things. The sequence in his TV programme that was clearly scripted whereby he took some "young fan" aside, somehow identifying that he has mental health issues, made me cringe to no end. That was f'in embarrassing!

You have to do the song and dance if you want the big money endorsements (Nike, Reebok, Beats, Jordan, UnderArmour etc) I don’t blame anyone for being “fake” for that type of financial security.

This is it, right here. Joshua is arrogant? Well, yeah! He is one of the top dogs in a sport that’s FULL of egomaniacs. You don’t reach the top in this sport without being a little full of yourself, to the point of borderline arrogance.

What about Fury and his “Not a man born from his mother can beat Tyson Fury”? Arrogant as feck imo, which is okay. Or Wilder with his “hardest puncher ever” statements? The list goes on.

It’s like when people complained how Michael Schumacher was arrogant back when he dominated F1. Like, yeah he’s arrogant, what do you think got him to the top? Being insecure and keeping his head down? Gtfoh.

 

I'm not a fan of Joshua and I do agree that he's too fake and robotic as far as personality is concerned. That poster does nothing but troll and take off. Give his post history a look.
