Surprised to see Hatton v Tszyu on this programme - a great night and win for Hatton but never an upset on the scale of Burger King v Tony Dosh PPV or Khan v Prescott. Personally thought this was a 50/50 fight before the fight started with Ricky still on his the way to the top versus a man nearing the end of his career. Was not over surprised by Enzo being wiped out by the hard hitting Olafabi either. Surely Sly could have stuck on one of the UK's all time greats Anthony Bellew, being wiped out by Alexander Usyk, in the biggest shock ever in the sport of boxthing after defeating the Great David The Toe Haye twice.
Selby icing Smith and ruining the script with Big L - Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous playing over it is what I'd like to see
Bellew beating Makubu and Haye. Froch beating Kessler. Froch beating Bute (Bute was so overhyped going into this fight). Mwakinyo beating Eggington Ruiz beating AJ
As you say Jurgen Hatton wasn’t a great upset , if I remember Kosta was around 2/5 to win the fight not much of a favourite really !
Bellew beating Makubu? Makubu was 8/11 Bellew evs hardly a great upset ! Froch beating Kessler Froch was favourite to win that fight pal!
Natasha Jonas 1/100 odds on against Viviane Obenauf a shocking omission. Miss GB battered by the can for 4 rounds and stopped.
Most peope thought Makubu would win. HBO commentary thought Kessler would win, which understandable considering Kessler won the first fight.
Because I don't **** on everything Matchroom does like a lot posters on here? I enjoy boxing and don't side with promotions like football teams as a lot posters seem to do on this forum unfortunately.
Out of all of them and there have been some good ones, my all time favorite has to be Gomez handing Arthur a new one. More so because i was there which made it even better!!
Number one should be the night that everyone in boxing won, as 'big underdog' Jon Thaxton flattened the unbeaten, thrilling, but chinny, Scrap Iron Ryan. Everyone but the matchmakers knew what was going to happen!
that’s fair enough but we’re talking about biggest upsets , Froch was strong odds on something like 2/5 4/11 so that was not even an upset never mind a big upset ! Froch was coming off a big upset win himself and the majority thought he would beat Kessler the second time!
For me it's not about siding with any promoter. It's as simple as, I don't like Hearn and I do like Frank. That said, I wouldn't want any one promoter having a monopoly on boxing in the UK. Competition is good for the fans.
