Prime Bowe had an inside game, great mental fortitude (in the ring), a chin, power, and pretty much everything. He was simply better than AJ. The Holyfield I version of Bowe would take out Joshua in the mid rounds.

 

Bowe was too easy to hit.

 

AJ is better than Bowe was, Bowe was reckless and too easy to hit.

 

AJ. In this case, Hardwork beats Talent

 

AJ was on the cusp of being stopped by old Wlad and was TKOed by Ruiz. Bowe could be hit but was never stopped. AJ would have his moments against Bowe but it is very hard for me to not believe that Big Daddy would prevail.

 

Bowe whole different level.

 

The bolded is simply not true. He was lazy and complained too damn much. He's fine hitting other people low but when Golota hits him low a few times he's ready to burst out in tears and laying on the floor like a bum. When the going got rough he was a quitter.

 

Bowe would stop the robotic Joshua, and do it early. Joshua isn't as
good a fighter as his record indicates. The multiple close calls
and the loss he's had against average competition or beyond prime Kleichkoe suggest
he is overrated. He's been matched -up carefully yet has shown all kinds of holes
in his fight game. Joshua also showed some dog in him against Ruiz when it
seemed clear he could've at the least attempted to continue fighting but
choose to quit on his feet in a fight he was winning. Not a good sign for
a world class fighter. Bowe had ATG ability in his prime. I can't say
the same about Joshua.
Prime Bowe ko's a prime Joshua. He was a much better fighter.

 

Prime for Prime. It’s in the title. Not the Bowe who went through wars with Holyfield or got lazy after he won the titles. While his prime was shorter, in his prime Bowe was never knocked down. Prime Bowe trained like a mad man for Holyfield 1. Prime Bowe took every shot Holyfield could throw in their first match. AJ got obliterated by a fat guy. Bowe would spark AJ out. Mid rounds KO.

 

Yes a disqualification win is a definitive quitjob

 

Yeah I didn't get that "Bowe was a quitter" thing either. If he was, he'd undeniably be in better condition than he is today.

 

Have you seen the fight? He was losing. Badly. He literally looks like he's about to cry after one of the low blows that hit his thigh. Bowe was even sitting his ass on the canvas after one low blow. Hell, Jack Sharkey took a ton of low blows from Jack Dempsey who hit way harder than Golota and he didn't have to take a damn break.

Nothing pisses me off more than a quitter especially if they claim they can whoop anybody. I want to see a guy putting out. It's his job.

 

Bowe been in the ring with nothing but cans and Tyson leftovers prior to Holyfield. It's ridiculous to think a guy had great mental fortitude in his prime because he managed to get into 3 shootouts with a guy he outweighed by 30 lbs and a few inches in height/reach.

 

Bowe was a different kettle of fish entirely! Joshua has done nothing and beat noone. It is a mismatch.
