    I'm sure Earnie Shavers was thinking that very thing, as he went in to round-6 of his bout with Lyle in '75.

    Carnera was tougher than Shavers. Carnera got up 11 times against a prime vicious Baer. Shavers wouldn't imo.

    Probably. But, at the same time, I think Lyle's right-hand is probably better than Baer's.

    We would certainly be justified in making Carnera favourite based on real world results, but Lyle might well have what was needed to beat him.

    Lyle’s power and countering ability would make him a constant threat.

    Lyle knocked out Giant Jack O' Halloran in 6 rounds, so why not Carnera, too?

    Leroy Hayes twice destroyed Primo
    soon after Louis. To compare Carnera with Tyson Fury is absurd.

    That's no laughing matter. Shavers would probably never box again and would need lots of rehab.
