There were seven of these matches held I believe. I love all of these fights. The Bonavena-Mildenberger fight is probably my least favorite, but was still not bad. It was odd though how the fights grew more competitive, and thus the final: Ellis vs. Quarry should have been an all-out war, yet was the slowest of all of the fights, but still a great tactical performance from Ellis imo. I would say the other five fights make up the best heavyweight fights of 1967-1968.

that's right. Although since it wasn't filmed, it's not like anyone could vote on it anyway.

I guess Martin-Spencer was part of it too. Was Bonavena vs. Martin part of it? I figured it wasn't since it went 10 rounds rather than 12.

Aside from the poor verdict which should have gone In Patterson’s favor, his rematch with Quarry was a very good fight.

Martin-Mildenberger wasnt part of the tournament and it was filmed. Martin-Spencer and Bonavena-Martin werent part of it either. How could they be, all of them were eliminated from the tournament by then.

Then how come the film is not on youtube or any website and no site sells it? But you're probably not gonna tell anyone that, huh?

THOSE 7 FIGHTS ARE CORRECT, MARTIN-MILDENBERGER, MARTIN-Spencer, Martin-Bonavena were all after the tournament
Martin would also fight henry Clark, Al Blue Lewis twice, and the big victoy over Charles Sonny Liston , to achieve the Number #1 contender spot, only to retire to a torn retina

Yes, Martin had some big matches coming his way that never happened. Although he was a level below many of the heavies of his day, I would have like to see him fight Frazier, Ali, Quarry, Patterson, Terrell, and Foreman.

hmm... I think the robbery was a bit overstated, but I still think it could've gone Floyd's way, certainly no robbery tho
