This is an epic fight, without question in Las Vegas...both fighters get rocked throughout this fight. Both are cut, Morrison goes down in the 12th and fights off Shavers. Both fighters are exhausted, the ref could stop this at anytime if he lets it go another 9 seconds then Morrison wins a lopsided decision but if the ref wants it stopped with about 9 seconds left in the fight then go Shavers WTKO 12.
For the record I used Data Boxing, the dice game, SHAVERS 70-79 and Morrison 91-95. If Shavers is out of shape or ill prepared this is over in the first, likewise Morrison would be stoped in 9.
I really don't see how this fight could possibly go on for nearly 12 rounds. Both guys hit like police battering rams, both were aggressive and fought on the front foot, and both lacked endurance and defence. If you're 30 seconds late to your seat, you might miss the whole thing!
Good matchup 6-5 PICK EM ODD'S. Morrison perhaps had better modern day trainers . Tommy actually had a will when he caught you WITH HIS GUNS, as Mercer, Hipp, Williams, Foreman, fights indicated, Thou Shavers no slouch WIlliams, Cobb, Holmes, Lyle etc. BOTH WARRIORS
both big punchers with glass jaws, but Shavers was still no quitter, Morrison was. I vote Shavers by knockout, but I think Morrison could pull off the TKO if he started fast enough.
Shavers has zero head movement, zero. Morrison could hit hard Foreman several times for the same cause but Shavers has not Foremans skull and chin to remain still if attacked by Morrison. Morrisons chin Is suspect, true. But before Aids was decent. Morrison lands first the hook and KOes Shavers 7/10
