Could Mason have beaten the long term British and European heavyweight champ.? How'd you see this playing out over 15 rounds?
Cooper might jab his head off for a few rounds, perhaps even wobble him with his "hammer",but chances are Mason begins to assert himself in the latter stages and possibly pulls away for a win or tko.Though, if his skin holds up, Cooper could take a dec.
Mmmm. me thinks Cooper would prob stop Mason late in fight. Mason was big , but also very slow and predictable, Cooper could always knock over big slow fighters , slim chance Mason would use his weight to bully Henry, but overall Cooper was altogether a more rounded fighter than the likes of the Masons of the fight game. Our Henry, and all that, what a sportsman etc, thing was Cooper was a crafty ( some have said dirty fighter ) boxer, could, and would, hit on the break, or just a second after the ref had called it, pulled guys onto punches, blindside of the ref again , yea not the fine gentlemen he was played out to be IMO.
Whoever lands the big one first, Mason was easier to hit and slower but had the better chin, Cooper wouldn`t have lasted as long as Mason did v Lewis due to being so small and lacking reach, I think the reach factor would help Mason get to Cooper early.
Yes I can see Gary getting this mcvey, despite Cooper having the lot longer career and being more successful. A late rounds cut or possibly a ko imo. Mason had a tasty dig.
