When is this supposed to come out? I can't find the thread where he mentions it.

    Thanks.

I understand that he doesn't plan to write a Dempsey book, and that his plan was to finish with the Johnson books.

Personally I think that he should have finished on Willard, because that book might well have added something!

Talking of boxing books, around 1970/71 I sent away to America for some books/mags, entitled Boxana Review slim glossy mags. in black and white, author was Harry Pegg, sometime sparring partner to Benny Leonard I think, knew all the fighters of the decades form 1920 to 1950 some very well ie: Walker, Philly Jack, Seamen Tommy Watson, Lew Tendler, the list goes on.
Well I had just come back from a lads holiday in Spain , doing what young men do, and my Mum said " oh by the way some package came for you while you were away " WHAT.. they sent me four I think ( still have 2 ) my fav was the one about Kecthell, there was a picture of his face on the front close up, and other pics of the Sullivan twins as well. Inside covered his fights with both, Mike @ Jack , liked the line where Jack said to Stan " you beat my brother, he was really only a Welter weight, things will be different when you fight me " Kecthell said " yes Jack they will be " and therefor carried him to the 20th ( I think ) then knocked him out. Amazing picture of Stan with both eyes shut crawling around the floor, after one of numerous knockdowns at the hands of Papke, after Billy hit him as Stan extended his arms for the usual touch of gloves after the bell for round one ( after that fight the " protect yourselves at all times " made its fistic bow ) yea, could go on and on, but its late, and I have had a little sherry or two.

In a remarkably brutal year, I am beyond stoked for this development.

Two books. None on Willard (covered in Johnson part 2 and will no doubt will be covered in one of the Dempsey books, quite frankly that’s all he needs)

Plan is to release Dempsey Part I this year, 2020. I am in the final editing stages. Book is around 560 pages at the moment.

All of the thoroughness, multiple primary sources, photos, background, fight details, etc. you all have come to expect.

Ok, let's cut to the chase: did Dempsey duck Wills or not? Did the Wills backers put up the required money or not? Did Greb kick Dempseys butt in sparring or not?

A complex question, which you will have to wait for the second book, to have a clear answer about!

No as far as I can figure it out, but the requested sum was arguably extortionate!
Yes. That question was done away with a long time ago!
