And the fact remains that Ruddock was not even a ranked heavweight at the time.

Bowe had a sturdy chin, a solid jab, and good power. He also had a solid amateur career. Easy KO win over Morrison, who was pasted by Michael Bentt and knocked down repeatedly against lesser fighters and almost killed by Ray Mercer.

I can picture this fight ending with Morrison sleeping while on one knee and Bowe clipping him with a right uppercut to make sure he doesn’t get up.

Lipton tried to say he stopped it because Ruddock was out before he hit the floor on the knockdown. If that were the case, why did he let it go on?

Riddick Bowe all the way, UNABIASED HONEST OPINION AND A STOPPAGE. Tommy was a child star, and then some, he will not beat Bowe thou.

Bowe at his best would crush Morrison, probably in about 3 rounds. Bowe is bigger, Stronger, meaner and just the tougher fighter. On the outside he would smash his jab into Morrison‘s face and on the inside he would eat him up with upper cuts and punches to the body. I don’t really see any avenue for Tommy winning other than landing an A++++++ left hook and really Hurting Bowe. But even still Bowe is tough as hell and I believe would more than likely take any and everything Tommy throws even if he gets hurt, hell just battle back. I also don’t think Morrison can take very many of Bowe’s best punches

Neither guy has a solid chin. But Morrison has to take Bowe out early in the first 3-4 rounds, if he doesn't then it's advantage Bowe

    Bowe TKO 6

I am a fan of Morrison's but unless he chooses to box him at a distance and only throws the occasional combination/left hook, he isn't winning here

Bowe will force him to fight on the inside and overpower him.

And if he chooses to box at distance against a live, young body like Bowe, he gets utterly destroyed.

There are no good decisions for Morrison in this match.

I agree that Morrison would have to take out Bowe quickly, but I don't think it's fair to say Bowe doesn't have a solid chin. He took all Evander Holyfield had to offer, back in Evander's prime, and was only knocked in the third fight, and was never counted out or stopped, however close to he was against Golota.

Evander was not a monster puncher. Bowe avoided a lot of big punchers. He used to get wobbled and hit a lot and was easy to drop.

Morrison had a pretty average chin, whereas Holyfield put Big George in serious trouble in their fight? Also remember Evander was still a very solid puncher back then, had a ko percentage of 66% which is not bad at all. Morrison got stopped in all three of his losses, Big Daddy was never stopped, and he had a 73% ko percentage against better competition, and his chin was infinitely better, if Morrison ever took those shots against Holyfield he would have been knocked clean out, but Bowe came back to stop him.
