Why haven't we seen an all time great southpaw heavyweight?

Why haven't we seen an all time great southpaw heavyweight? The closest anyone has come is Moorer. Perhaps i am forgetting someone but i believe all of the true ATG's were orthodox fighters.

Is it simply because southpaws in general are exceedingly rate?

Rocky Balboa was a southpaw although he showed the ability to switch orthodox in the Creed rematch.

Some say his opponents after winning the title were hand-picked, but I think he showed in Creed II, Lang II and the Drago fight that he could hang with the best.

Left-handed heavyweights have historically been taught to fight in the orthodox stance.

Jim Corbett was left handed. So was Jim Jeffries. But they fought out of the right-handed stance.

I would like to see a Clubber Lang vs Ivan Drago match, Foreman vs Frazier?

Very true, a southpaw was like poison to fight managers, they kept their fighters away from them at any cost.

Drago would have won the rematch though

I wonder if they could have been even better in their natural stance

Balboa won rematches against Creed and Lang. Mason Dixon ducked him after escaping their first fight with a win and wanted no more.

There are probably more switch hitters in the cannon than people realize.

I'm really interested in seeing more of Uysk at heavyweight. I have seen all of his Cruiserweight fights and he is one if the more impressive fighters that I have seen in a long while in the upper weight classes. Outside of him, Moorer, Byrd, Sanders, and Sultan were all very good but not great southpaw heavies.
