Rough nite for Marvin Hagler. He may be able to deal with Turpin's awkwardness and strength better than Robinson initially could. It's a case of an alltime great champion who was consistent against a guy who shined bright albeit briefly. I watch those two fights with Ray Robinson and I see alot to deal with. Turpin brought some things to the table. If my $ is on the line I gotta go with Hagler but I dont think Marvin would he having much fun in there.
Hagler wins with ease. The only reason Turpin beat the Suga man was cause the Suga man was tired from all those exhibitions and took him too lightly. Hagler by KO.
Turpin was a strong guy and akward to fight, he'd give Hagler an extremely tough time imo. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if Marvin, miles behind on the cards had to really step it up and finally stop him. Hagler wrsc 13.
He wouldn't destroy Turpin if Randy's at his best. It would be a close fight. Yes, Turpin loses but its not a caveman Lee job.
Hagler fighting Turpin on the back of 5 fights in the previous 4 weeks doesn't destroy Turpin. I doubt he beats him at all in those conditions.
